Yes, I know it's possible that he will be able to play, I was just trying to see if anyone knew for sure. He's going to be fun to watch over the next two years.

They were OUTSTANDING.

He missed the re-do anyway, so mute point.

 

Not really...missed first re-do...made extra ft he got to give them 4 pt lead.

 

Booher wasn't very happy about this play at all and made sure to bring it up in the post game interviews in his closing comments. Brought up the rule used during the regular season and said he didn't know if it changed for the Sweet 16.

 

Again, that didn't cost them the game but definetly made Holmes' last possession mean absolutely nothing.

 

I stand by my comment that this one should've been settled in regulation. Holmes makes one more ft, they win. Bottom line.

His Senior leadership took over and won the game.If he "Ain't that good" how is he a D! recruit and a Mr. Basketball candidate and in the Final 4 of the State tournament ?

Hawkins is good very good but then Bolden is what? A 10th Grader! Hawkins wasn't as good as Bolden is as a 10th grader and yes I saw Hawkins as a 10th, 11th and 12th grade player!

Very exciting game, Hawkins is a soild player and Bolden is special. Fun game to watch.

Jeez, some sensitive folks. When a mod predicted Warren Central would beat MoCo, did 20 posts bang him for being wrong? When a NKY hoops expert predicted Dixie would beat Newport, did 5 people throw it in his face?

 

I did think MC would win handily and I was wrong!! Wow, sorry I so insulted their fan base.

 

Although, I did predict them to beat NewCath in the regionals, and Cooper, and CovCath, and PRP....but clearly I'm anti-Holmes.

 

I get you're frustrated that you lost in the Elite 8, but have some perspective. Holmes had a great year and the future is bright.

Go back and read the prediction thread on BGP and tell me where "everyone" said Holmes would get blown out. I don't think anyone I know of said that.

Sounds like a great game and some great individual performances by both teams. Fruitless to compare these kids. They are both really good and that is great. I'm sorry I couldn't see my 'dogs play tomorrow, but they gave it their best and just didn't win. All you can really ask for is the opportunity to win when you are playing a great team, they had that and didn't capitalize this time. Congrats to MC and great season Bulldogs.

Congrats to Madison Central. Great game Bulldogs, just couldn't hit the free-throws at the end. Chames misses 2 and Bolden misses front end of one & one late in the 4th. Couple on the line/ out of bounds errors & passes also. What I cannot stand personally, the fact that Hawkins got every call imagineable. Holmes looked at him wrong, they blew the whistle, (reminded me of Darius Miller game 2008)he walked twice, that I remember, and no call. Beetle strips the ball from him underneathe and a late call was blown on Beetle. At the same time, MC had some bad calls on them. Officiating at Rupp:ohbrother:
