Yeah, I know a parent when I see one and I call it as I see it. Just because it says I've only posted a limited amount of times it doesn't mean I haven't been here for years...just means I decided to reactivate my account. I stand up for what I believe in and don't think I'm not gonna come out swinging if I get backed into a corner. EVERY kid deserves to be cheered on and cared about in this region, not just the special ones. Wonder why our schools aren't what they used to be? Take a look at parental involvement in the schools and how they are mentored within the communities as a whole. It's not what it use to be ten years ago. Pride in the region teaches these kids to care about each other even when others don't. It teaches them someone cares past the faces they see in the halls so YEAH I'm gonna stick up for these kids. If that makes me a jerk, so be it! I don't really care because I know it's what God wants of me and our region!! Have a great day sir.

You are just babbling nonsense now. I dont believe BGP has a rule that states you have to wait until the Sweet 16 is completed to talk about next season.

How long do these free trial memberships last again?

I dont know, seems to be very annoying that we have either newbies posting nonsense or people that have always been lurkers and now have re-upped since it is free and want to rip on people with personal attacks. I remember my first 6 months on this site, I probably got suspended more than anybody due to making similar negative posts and creating some buzz. However, 17,000 posts later I have learned that you get nothing out of being sarcastic or negative. Support all the kids and give the fans all the information they might want to know and leave it at that.

We all love the game of basketball and are all following what is going on right now. Just because we take a moment to reflect on kids that are going to be coming up next year doesnt mean we are disrespecting the kids playing today.

Hey who gave you a key to a 10th region forum???? Just joking you are 100% correct!!!!!

Go to a district tournament and get you butt handed to you or go to a combine that will effect your future? Doesn't seem like a hard decision to me, although I know Snoop likely wished to have nailed them both two sport stars have these decisions to make.

Sounds like he took the easy way out. Let his teammates down. Let them take the beating while he went and did his own thing. Selfish decision. Ultimate goal of every season is the tournament and then you don't show up. I am sure there will be other "combines". I can not imagine too many coaches and teammates would welcome with back with open arms. Maybe his decision is a product of today's "me first" society. Sad.

So you are an angel?????? And btw you mentioned Clark County in another post.............I assume they will still not be quite ready for the top tier next season...............

How does this have anything to do with talk about next years 10th Region Basketball season? Flat out...it doesn't. As a fan of one team in the 10th Region, it is not my responsibility to make little Timmy from School A feel good about himself when I am a fan of School B. I will respect the kid and his game on the court but I don't have to cheer him on or coddle him. I have the right as a fan to cheer for any player or team of my choosing. You don't have to like it and I am not asking you too. You are on your soap box demanding respect for all teams in the 10th. Who are you to tell me what kind of fan I should be? You may need to show some respect for other people who opinions vary from yours. Chill on the "backed in a corner" bit. No one is attacking you, just defending our opinions on the post old timer.

Bro, chill. I'd like to see your reaction if someone did something that really offended you. Like insult your shoes or something.

You are correct, they have not been the outright favorite. Just seem to always be labeled as a team with a chance to win region but they never do. Seem to come up short in the region. I guess I exaggerated with the whole "favorite" thing.

Brossart, CC, and Scott were all top 5 teams this year. Likely to be near the top next year too. Don't really see your point.

For the most part, I'm not talking much about 2013-14 yet because the current season isn't over. That's just how I am. However, a bunch of others are keeping tune with the Sweet 16 & also looking forward to the next season & want to discuss it. That's what makes Kentucky high school basketball so great...any time we talk about basketball is a good time to talk about basketball. I'll jump in the 2013-14 10th Region discussion at some point next week, but I enjoy reading the thoughts of others who are engaged in the conversation right now. :thumb:

I do too.

Even more so when they're actually about basketball.

You obviously know nothing about Snoop Johnson, I'm sure the bigger football stars have done this before. Didn't James Quick miss game action to participate at the U.S. Army All-American Game. Truth is Quick and Snoop's best sport is football he didn't step out on his team. If he did don't you think he would've done so long before the district tournament.

Proud of my Indians for making the final 4. But of course, I am also happy we bring back Xavier, Bryan, Chase Hall , and Darius Jones. Go Indians
