Very disappointing. Reinhardt is a good coach and a good guy. He did well at Nicholas - which isn't easy to do.
From all the Nicholas County games have seen, they always played hard and have a good young core of players, not only in high school but middle as well. This is a good job, too bad they didn't stick with Reinhardt though.
Agree on GRC needing to find scoring. Defensively they seem to be as polished as anyone in the 10th, which I think has them in contention. And don't sleep on Harrison County who returns swingman Dillon Pulliam, though I would be concerned about who replaces Kendall at the point.

I think Paris is a potential sleeper team. Brooks is one heck of a coach & I think can help that young team reach its potential. Bracken County will have one of the Region's finest young players in freshman point Austin Crawford. Bourbon County has one of the 10th's most explosive players in Snoop Johnson, but not a lot to go around him.

When it comes down to it...and again, this is April...there are four storylines I'm looking at the most right now:

* Brossart's back court

* Mason County's back court

* Montgomery County's....well, lots of things :lol2:

* Augusta's front court

Augusta and Brent Bach will miss Tanner Kelsch a great deal

I too am sorry to see Reinhardt out at Nicholas County. I felt that he brought some stability and passion to their program, and was making strides in developing the young Bluejackets.

Kevin will benefit from his experience as head coach at Nicholas County, and imo will not have problems getting a job based on his coaching ability.

This is a setback for the Nicholas County basketball program.

Curious if Aric Russell could find a spot for the former Camel on his staff?

I wish Kevin the best in his future endeavors!

After some further research just got word that they got rid of the middle school coach also after two yrs. so it must trickle down thru the system. Believe he was one of Reinhardts Asst. on the varsity. As far as new Coach heard possibly Carey Barr from Paris or possibly Daniel Brown with all his players transferring out to prep schools. Brown was a former player at Nicholas Co... Still a tough loss for the Nicholas Co. Program. Must be some problems in administration to do what there doing...good luck to Coach Reinhardt for whatever may come your way.

Geoff Cody may be a good fit. Former Paris coach. NC will have a hard time filling this position. No teaching jobs and no money to throw into a spot for a coach.

If there is no teaching spot, would Cody even go? That would be a tough sell if there are no teaching positions open.

Was told last night from a pretty good source that Carey Barr would be the next hire at Nicholas Co. To replace Reinhardt. Another two year stint until they get what there really after and that's Former player and current Head Coach Daniel Brown at Henry Clay.

Why wait two years when you can go after him right now? IMO I don't see him leaving Henry Clay.

As of right now they don't have a principal position open and from what I was told that's what there waiting on. They need a short timer and that's the reasoning behind Barr cause your two and done at Nicholas Co.

A lot of legit title contenders from my vantage point. Of course, it is April. :lol2:

37th:

1. Bishop Brossart

2. Campbell County

3. Scott

4/5. Calvary Christian/Silver Grove

38th:

1. Harrison County

2. Nicholas County

3. Pendleton County

4. Robertson County

39th:

1. Mason County (Go ahead Augusta people & probably several others...just crush me now :lol2:)

2. Augusta

3. Bracken County

4. St. Patrick

40th:

1. Montgomery County

2. George Rogers Clark

3. Paris

4. Bourbon County

Bishop Brossart, Campbell County, Mason County, Augusta, Montgomery County....maybe GRC & maybe Harrison County. At this point, without seeing any of them play & just looking on paper, I think there are 5-7 teams that could legitimately win this thing.

But I stand by my contention that Mason County loses less than everyone else, which is why I really like them at this point. Guard play for both the Royals & Bishop Brossart will be huge. The exact opposite is true for Augusta, where the frontcourt will be the biggest thing to keep an eye on.

The defending champs remain the biggest question mark because of the coaching situation.

Any thoughts now that the Indians have their new coach?

I'm reading on Twitter that Reinhardt has landed a job on staff at Holmes.

Doesn't change much of anything in the 40th IMO. I expect Montgomery to be top three in the 10th & could very well cut the nets down again.

Will be interesting to see how Paris and Bourbon do this year.
