I heard a rumor that South Carolina offered today. I haven't been able to confirm yet.

It appears he is having an even better Anthony Hickey Effect than Anthony Hickey. I'm happy for the kid.

They said on the radio that KJB is waiting for a D-1 basketball offer despite D-1 offers in football. Does anyone have any info on him and his potential basketball offers or chances?

If MC makes it to the championship Frank Martin will be in attendance.

Alan Feldhouse and Frank Martin... That would be two intense coaches to play under.

I've yet to see the kid play, but for those of you that say the kid can't play at UK, did you say the same thing about Anthony Epps?

Spoke with someone who works at Madison Central High who confirmed to me that South Carolina had offered him. I didn't actually ask him about it either, we were just talking about the game and he offered it.

I thought that was Bosley they said had a D1 football scholarship but wanted to play D1 basketball.

As to whether Hawkins can play at UK, if Polson can play there Hawkins can. I see more D1 strength and athleticism in Hawkins right now than I see in Polson right now.

Saw Bosley play football once this year and thought he'd be a nice DB for a school like EKU/WKU at least (had a thread on it in the football forum earlier). Turns out, WKU was apparently at the same playoff game that I was scouting him.

Read an article about Frank Martin that said he was actually a bouncer at a posh Miami nightclub before he began coaching. He quit that job to begin coaching because a close friend and co-worker of his was shot while working there.

I'm really just glad that Cal has learned that the issue of having no veteran players/4 year guys needs to be addressed. Hawkins would fit the role of warrior/4 year stability guy. I'd be for it.

Hawkins reiterated that he will not accept a walk-on position at any school including UK.

He will not make any decision until UK's scholarship situation has been determined. Cal said to be patient.

The other schools recruiting him said they will await his decision.

I'd say that's a pretty telling statement right there.

I wouldn't blame him at all for turning down a walk on at UK knowing he could get a full ride somewhere else and get more playing time elsewhere. But I still wouldn't mind him suiting up for the Cats

Why? So he could sit the bench?

UK has raised its game since then. Too many Kentucky peeps drinking kool aid... wake up!
