UK Showing Interest in Madison Central's Hawkins

Featured Replies

Not from UK like this thread is supposed be about. Poor guy reads the posts from the uninformed about Ky interested in him. How dare you burst his bubble.

:lol2::lol:

That would be WA WA, Chief WA WA.

Okay, "Chief" -- we get it. You think Bolden's a better player than Hawkins, even though their styles, builds, and ages are different. You think Hawkins won't get a D1 look, even though he already has at least one -- at which point you attempt to invoke the "UK thread only" clause. You think other BGP posts will somehow "burst his bubble" even though you're the one who's belittling the kid's game. You think a lot of stuff. What you apparently have *not* thought about is the sad, ugly tone you have imposed on what started as a fundamentally positive thread, nor have you thought about the bad name you are giving NKY folks who simply see two good players deserving of decent futures.

You've done all you can do here. Please take a break and let the grownups have an uninterrupted conversation.

If UK was truly interested in a short stocky football player who likes to play basketball then they would have recruited him long before he was a senior.
Dominique has always played basketball. He didn't start playing football till his junior year.
NOT A CHANCE will Hawkins even get a small chance of being on a UK bball scholarship. UK already will be facing some tough choices with recruits coming in next year and whats left over from this year. What is Mr Hawkins rating on the top recruiting sites??? Unless he wants to be walk-on and let everyone beat on him for four years. If UK was truly interested in a short stocky football player who likes to play basketball then they would have recruited him long before he was a senior. It is exciting to see everyone from his hometown get all pumped up thinking he has a legit shot on making UK roster. Bolden as a sophomore is 100 times better than Hawkins was as a sophomore. After Bolden graduates lets see where he plays as to where Hawkins might get a scholarship to!!! (Thomas More, NKU, Eastern KY (maybe). Morehead State, Murray State. He is a 6 foot tall football player. Poor guy listens to this thread from all the locals and he gets all fired up because you guys think he is good enough to play at KY. Give the guy a break, hate to see his bubble burst.

I've got news for you pal...Kentucky watched Hawkins 5 times and invited him to 2 practices. That doesn't happen unless they have some serious interest. Dominique has at least 6 DI offers at this point, and they aren't for football.

South Carolina is a little better than Thomas More and others you listed

Bolden is a good player, a little out of control, but he still has time to learn. He's probably a nice kid, but based on his fan base on this site I'm having a hard time liking him. If you really like him, you would be doing him a huge favor to back off and quit turning everyone against him like you have done me.:puke:

His play speaks for itself. Thanks for allowing me to control you. Gotcha! One of the tribe - Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa

Ky always looks for scout team players who the ones that actually get scholarships and actually play beat on. No scholarships to be given and all you fans of his can go and act like he actually is on the team.

I received a private message tonight officially ordaining me as "wa wa aka Robin Hood of BGP". Love it. I will officially be sticking up for all the referees that get bashed on here, the teams that get bashed on here, the Coaches that get bashed on here and players that get bashed on here from the posters who know nothing but act as if they do.

Your truly,

Robin Hood aka wa wa.

I sat by one college coach in the media room at the state tournament and he said "Bolden is a nice player. Dribbles way too much." And he will change his game I'm sure to grow as a player and with a different cast, he'll likely be able to "dribble less". He also said about Hawkins that he has "college ready body and all the skills you need to succeed at the next level". His school has already offered Hawkins by the way. So the notion that he's not a division 1 player simply shows the hand some are dealt.

You remind me a whole lot of a popular 1995 movie starring Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash and Brittany Murphy.

I'm surprised Hawkins wasn't offered tonight from Moon Township, PA.

You may have to give him a clue

Was that coach Billy Gillespie? Wouldnt be a good idea for one of these coaches from a lower Div 1 or Div 2 or NAIA schools to say anything derogatory about his recruit. Makes sense for him to make a few stupid remarks about a player he has no chance at getting. There were no top Div 1 schools at Ky sweet 16 except Calipari who was there for Mr Bolden. Thats when good players are recruited, at an early age, not the end of their senior years.

You're wrong. And your tights have cut off circulation to the brain.

But I don't understand....you say you're going to stick up for those being bashed and I don't see how declaring that Hawkins isn't good enough for UK is sticking up for those being bashed. That makes no sense.
