Very nice win, a total team effort. How does the win rank on the resume, is Mizzu a lock to get in?
Any win ranks on the resume right now in the same as a loss fom here on out hurts U.K. bad, with the exception of Fla, jmo. I believe that Mizzou was considered in before last night, probably still are.

Last nights win put the Cats from in the first four out to one of the last four in the tourney.

The best the team has played all year imo. They still had flashes of selfishness though including the last play of regulation where Goodwin was wide open for a layup to win in regulation. But I liked the actual team play overall tonight.

You think he legitimately thought, "I'd rather shoot a half court shot then pass it for a layup to win." ?? Geez, talk about reaching.

What a great game to watch. Now that was fun. Big win for the Cats.

Good win!!! I just can't watch their defense it drives me nuts!!

For sure. The perimeter defense has been an issue all year and now they are trying to learn how to play a different style with Noel out.

In the biggest win of the year, and at home, Wiltjer plays flat out horrible. Doesn't even score a basket, and the Cats win. Hmmmmmm......

No doubt the best win of the year for UK. Especially since the best win of the year happened without Noel. Missouri is #37 in the RPI which makes this UK's first win versus a top 50 RPI team. UK is now 1-4 versus the RPI top 50 and 5-4 versus 50-100. The best thing about UK's RPI resume is no bad losses since every team that beat them is in the top 100.

Looking at UK's chances for the tournament, with this win I now think UK's two most important games are Mississippi St. and Georgia. Both those teams are 100+ RPI and would be bad losses. IMO, beat those two and Arkansas and UK is no doubt in the tourney.

In addition, with Alabama losing I believe UK is now in second place in the SEC which helps on the resume. Finally, and maybe most important, stay in the top 4 in the SEC and UK gets the double bye in the SEC tourney which is big for this team.

Saw some great things last night.

Cauley-Stein: 12 rebounds, 7 blocks

Goodwin: 18 pts. (2/3 3-ptrs)

Poythress: 21 pts., (8/10 FG), 7 rebounds

Mays: 24 pts., 8/9 FT

Harrow: 16 pts., 6 assists, 4/4 FT

Only a few negatives:

Cauley-Stein: 1/7 FT

Goodwin: 7 TOs

Wiltjer: 0 FG

In addition, with Alabama losing I believe UK is now in second place in the SEC which helps on the resume.

Agree with everything but this. Where you finish in the conference is not a part of the selection process...

Great effort, and great win for the Wildcats last night. The Poythreis I watched last night is the Poythreis I've been waiting for all year long. He played hard, and aggressive all night long. That's the Alex the Cats need to close strong, and make the dance. Very proud of the way all the Cats played last night. Goodwin played under control most of the night, hit some big outside shots, and had fun out on the court. Cauley-Stein diving on the floor, blocking some big shots, and giving his all. The Cats give that effort the rest of the year, and they'll make the tournament.

Big win for UKs confidence and resume....

If they keep this up everyone in the country will be playing dodgeball in walk thrus lol.....

Man words cannot explain how thankful I am for Julius. In the beginning of the year I thought he looked over matched and most of the time athletically he is. But he gets everything out of his ability and has become the leader on this team that they so sorely needed. Without him I doubt uk is close to sniffing the tournament

Well.....YES. IF he didn't want to take the shot then why wouldn't he pass it to one oof the two wide open players with time left on the clock for one of them to take a muuch higher percentage shot?

I think Cal is probably selling to Goodwin and Poythreis that the two can go a long way in improving their NBA stock by the way they finish over the last 2 weeks of the season, and how they play in the NCAA tournament if they make it. Those 2 seemed to play with a little extra fire last night.

Because he didn't think he had enough time.
