Good point. I suppose that may be minimized if the new coach retains some of the current coaches.

From his resume Coach Griffith also has head coaching experience so I assume he knows the offensive side of the ball too.

If they are requiring the HC to also be a teacher, how would that work? Would he have roll into a teaching position immediately or would that wait until the fall? Can't imagine they would have an open teaching position this late in the school year?

To bring this thread up to date it looks like there are two finalist:

Current Bowling Green Defensive Coordinator Jeff Griffith

 

Decision expected Monday.

Im not trying to take anything away from Coach Niederman but Coach Griffith is an excellent coach. Sounds like both would be great hires for the Rebels.

Griffith knows his stuff.

I will say Coach Niederman is a very good coach and he may be the hardest working coach I have ever seen.

 

I have asked around some about Coach Griffith and like the last two comments everyone is very high on him as an excellent coach that knows his stuff and would be a good hire.

 

I agree, with firezone, both coaches would be good hires for Boone.
