New PR... By one minute :lol2:

Swim: 41:16

T1: 4:58

Bike: 2:54:27 (19.26 mph/avg)

T2: 3:36

Run: 1:47:49 (8:13 avg/mile)

Total: 5:32:06

Muncie by far has the toughest half-marathon course I've ever done. Not talking just triathlons either. Bike had about a 20 mile stretch on a terrible road so I think I could have knocked off a few more minutes on the bike. Still not great at swimming but a little better. Running is by far my strongest and luckily for me where you can make up the most time. Overall I was extremely pleased as my nutrition was spot on through the day. Upper half of my age division which is tough for me. Extremely competitive age divisions for the next 20 years :;

Congrats!!!! Outstanding! I'm so impressed!

Dead Last

is greater than

Did Not Finish

which trumps

Did Not Start

Day three done, yesterday.

My bad back was acting up but I was able to do both of te workouts, so I am pleasd with myself.

First day back from vacation yesterday. Awfully hard.

Today I did 48 minutes in the gym and the twist today, with the insanity workout was to skip the recovery workout and do Muay Thai

(40:02)

July 17 and 18 in the books.

Yesterday was bad.I had no energy but got through both of the workouts.

Today I hit the gym and spent fifty minutes there and though my strength is all but gone the workout was good.

The insanity workout went well though the body is tired.

Day off tomorrow and I definitely need it.

Crossfit games are next week. First 3 workouts have been released, nothing too radical yet.

They gonna do a triathlon again?

They gonna do a triathlon again?

I don't think so, at least not at Pendelton Marine base. Dave Castro, the director of the games, said all events would be viewable by the spectators. That rules out any thing at Pendleton which is where the tri was last year.

No alcohol until my birthday in a month. Trying to eat a salad every day as well.

CrossFit Games event 4 released. This is the first year they've released events this early. Usually they don't release them until the week of or even right before the event is to take place.

First Event

Naughty Nancy

Nancy is normally 5 rounds of:

400M run

95lb overhead squat -15 reps

So not sure what Naughty Nancy will be.

Second Announced Event

ZigZag Sprint

Athletes will sprint to the finish line 50 yards away, navigating around four obstacles. Six athletes will race against each other head to head in a 4-round bracketed tournament.

Third Announced Event

Clean and Jerk Ladder

Athletes will choose between four starting weights and will progress to heavier loads every 90 seconds.

Fourth Announced Event

Sprint Chipper

21 MB GHD sit-ups, 15 Snatches, 9 Wall burpees

Wall Burpees look interesting.

I forgot my journal with all of my workout already written out including the order which actually matters somewhat. Did legs today, did calves, leg press, and then SHOULD HAVE done lunges with dumb bells but instead did some inner/outer thigh stuff then went to the lunges. So I over worked my stabilizer muscles and then tried to use them while doing my lunges, the end result was a really sore pulled groin while going down for my 6th lunge. Hurts like heck, may be taking a few days off of weights for the legs now.
