Day four in the book(Go me and my bro)

I could not have ever imagined that basically standing in one place for the most part and stretching and breathing could make me so sweaty and tired.

Good job everyone who worked out today.

Did clean and jerk tonight at crossfit. PR'ed at 185lbs, was pretty pumped. I could have probably cleaned another 5 or 10 pounds but not sure I could have jerked it.

Awesome

Did the calves bother you?

Not so much during the workout, but after word my brother and I both said the pain stinks.

Sports cream tomorrow if I remember to pick up some on my way home from work.

Sounds like your getting Lactic acid built up in the. You should try walking some after or do some light calf raises to lightly work the acid out. Also some good stretching after.

I did max interval circuit today, which is Day 1 of month 2. But did not plan out my timing and had to skip the last 20 minutes of the 60 minute workout. (Somebody needed a ride, darned kids!)

Pretty intense.

I am not a fan of scales and I hate to weigh myself. But noticed the clothes were getting loose, so I found the courage to say hello to that thing. I have lost 10 pounds! Super motivated now!

Day five today.

The bad

Had to stop video twice to take a few minute break

Legs were like rubber and I could not do the last exercise, so I did some jogging in place and some jumping jacks.Just to keep moving.

Was not as tired as before, no calf pain but my legs were like rubber.

Will hit the scales Monday as I am weighing in each Monday after my gym workout.

I weighed in at 224 last Monday.

Boom, that's awesome. Speaking of the scale I broke the 180 barrier on Saturday, weighing in at 179.3. First off, it looks weird even typing that as I have not been there since 8th grade. I have no desire to lose anymore. Also, it is probably not indicative of my true weight since it was after a 150 minute workout, but still a number I thought I would never see again. Thing is, I still feel like I'm not as fit looking as I should be and still see the fat kid in me. Being around 260 at one point will do that to you I guess.

I tend to get on a scale every now and then but trust the mirror and pant fit test tell me what I need to know. I can almost guess what my weight will be by how my pants fit. I typically bounce between 170 and 175 depending on my diet. If I'm trying to increase my strength I will hover around 174/175. If I'm trying to tone and maintain strength I will drop closer to 170. Had a sinus infection about 2 months ago and got down to 166. My strenght numbers suffered big time.

I started this cutting phase at 218 and about 18% BF. I've been focused almost completely on getting stronger b/c I knew that this phase was coming. I'm in week 2 of 10. Sprint workout two days a week and then walk an hour every day that I'm not sprinting. Workouts now consist of bodybuilding splits (1-2 muscle groups per session). I do 2 days on/1 day off. Start each session w/ a heavy compound lift and then go at it, 30 sec. rests b/n sets. I am very sore, which lets me know that I've stepped out of my comfort zone. We'll see what happens.

4 mos in.

Bench - 255x4 (goal is 315-325 behind schedule)

Squat - 335 x 4 (goal is 405. On schedule)

Deadlift - 360 x 5 (goal is 500. Borderline)

Shoulder Press - 160x 5 (goal is 205. I should beat this)

Max interval plyo. Probably the hardest workout I have ever done. The workout included 4 sets of 16 regular push-ups, several sets of

other push-ups. So probably about 100 push-ups total today.

Looking forward to tomorrow's max cardio workout. Hopefully a break from power jumps!

Day six

Some improvement as far as not being as tired and I did not throw up,this time.

We took one extra break with 18 minutes left and from there we did a decent job.

I am still having a little problem with some of the moves so I do other moves just to keep moving, after I can not do the move S.T. is doing.

Break day tomorrow.

I hope to hit the gym.

I have been tracking the calories and I am under each day, without feeling hungry, so I am good with that.

I am still having a little problem with some of the moves so I do other moves just to keep moving, after I can not do the move S.T. is doing.

I also do some improvising. I'm not as agile on the the switching directions/fast footwork. Concerns of plantar fasciitis, achilles tendon, stress fractures in the metatarsal and ankle twists on these 49 year old feet have made me cautious and pick "safer" moves at those times.

Day 8 workout 7 in the books.

Wasn't as bad as far as being winded as my legs and bad back hurting(more of of burning sensation)

My brother threw up again.

For those doing this workout how long do you go without eating before working out.

I have tried this-Eat breakfast around six thirty (6 egg white omelet with all veggies once in a while add a little cheese and meat bacon or ham) 2 pieces of turkey sausage, very small) and 1/4 cup of shredded hash browns) then wait until after the workout to eat again.

The problem with that is I have zero energy about halfway through.

When I eat a light lunch before the workout (say 4 hours before) I always taste throw up.

Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.
