You are overtrained. Take 2 days off. You won't lose anything. Just stretch out and walk if you must.

I think you are right. Thanks, Mex. I did the workout this morning and I did better. (Squat push-ups? I own them now! :lol2:)

Tomorrow is the rest and recovery workout so won't be as intense.

Next Thursday my daughter graduates, so it will be a busy few days with family visiting and such. There will probably be some days where I won't get the workout done. That's why I don't want to take any days off now.

Looking for recomendations on nutrition.

If you get up and the do the work out first thing, what should you eat/drink before?

If it's a long intense workout, (like the 60 minute Insanity), what should you sip on besides water to keep going?

After your workout, and you don't feel like eating, but you feel weak, what should you drink, or force yourself to eat?

Thanks!

Easy answers.

Pre workout - Whey protein and a banana 30 min. before starting

Post workout - and I mean right after- a glass of chocolate milk w/ whey protein mixed in. Use the whey for only pre and post workout stuff. Too many people drink it in between meals, your body absorbs it too fast to help keep you full.

During you could sip on glutamine

That's just the basics. Maybe other people have better ideas, but the above will work.

Everyone is different so it's hard to say what will work. Try different things until you find what works for you. Personally I like to train on a fairly empty stomach. During the week when I lift in the mornings I get up at 4:55 to let the dog out and feed him. While he is eating I will drink a shake with 1 scoop of whey and 1 scoop of BCAA, then take 1 1/2 scoops of Jack3d. I head to the Y to lift at 5:30. Come home at around 6:30, get ready for work and eat breakfast. I eat lunch around 11:30 - 12:00. I might snack on almonds or pistachio nuts during the day. Head to crossfit at 4:30. After crossfit I usually drink a shake with 1 scoop of whey.

Another day in the books, with tomorrow being a rest day.

Today was the first day where we had to do two videos in one day.

We opted to do both back to back.

In the 2nd one we did everything but instead of the stretching at the end we both did crunches.

We had stretched a lot already.

The ab workout was intense and hurt both of our lower backs, a lot.

For those doing these workouts

When you do both videos in the same day do you do them back to back?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on how much time I have. I prefer to do them back to back. But have split it up before.

Regarding all the stretching---I'm starting to cut it short, because I don't have the time. After the first 10 minute cardio warmup, I stretch for about half the time that they are, then I fast forward and start on the interval circuits. The stretch at the end of the intervals, I have been pretty much skipping altogether.

Fit test completed for the second time.

No where near as tired as the first go around and all of my numbers increased.:taz:

Power Jumps! Impressive improvement!

This was super tough today.

I think not eating kicked my rear end today.

Busy at work took no break and could not get on the stove to make my breakfast.

Got home after work after 1 and knew if I ate I would throw up during the workout.

I got it done and hope all of you did as well.

First triathlon of the season in the books.

.9 mile swim in 30 minutes

24 mile bike in 1:14 (19.19 pace)

6.2 mile run in 47 (7:47 pace)

2:41 total but for some reason they have me marked down with a 2 minute penalty to knock it up to 2:43. The bike was flat but windy. The first half of the race the wind was in my face at 10-15 mph, but I was able to make up some time on the return.

This is the workout we did on Sat. One of the guys at my gym made it up to honor a platoon he was deployed with in Afghan. One of the toughest workouts I've done for being pretty much all body weight stuff. Sangin 25.jpg

Great time mine. Congrats.

I had a training partner go down there and have an awesome race. She won her age group (technically got 2nd, but the 1st place was an overall placer).
