December 30, 201213 yr Just finished watching the game. Congrats to the Cards. They are the better team. I was impressed with how the Cats fought back. Harrow is getting better each game. When Wiltjer is hitting he gives the Cats a boost. Goodwin with some nice baskets down the stretch. If Cal can get Poythreis to reach his potential I think the Cats will be very good come tourney time. If they get the ball to KW in spot up position he can help the team but if he has to do anything else with the ball he kills us. Can't dribble, can't pass, can't penetrate, can't defend. He can shoot lights out (at times). Had 14 points today but probably cost us at least 8-10 with bad passes and lousy defense.

One of two things will happen in the coming days: 1) the Minnesota Vikings will lose this afternoon and be eliminated from the playoffs or 2) the Minnesota Vikings will beat Green Bay today only to be rewarded with a divisional playoff trip to Lambeau Field, at which time they will get beat by 30. Either way, I'll retreat to my normal pessimism about the teams I pull for and be absolute misery for other fans to be around. This won't last.
December 30, 201213 yr I feel like UL should have won by 20. Very good poise by UK to make it a game again. Wouldn't mind seeing another March or April rematch between these two. I said in the prediction thread that some random dude for UK was going to be the cause my misery just like it always is and Louisville almost let it happen. The scouting report on Wiltjer is pretty short and yet the Cardinals nearly let him have his "Patrick Sparks" moment. It was painful watching those two threes to cut it from 17 to 11 because the Louisville defense doesn't make a whole lot of mistakes like that but the whole zone shifted to the wrong side of the floor. It was maddening. I can't believe Pitino didn't have a coronary. If you'd have told me before this game that Louisville wouldn't be able to keep Gorgui on the floor and that Siva and Smith would have foul trouble and that the Cardinals would only make three shots from outside the arc, I'd have said Louisville lost by 10. This was an interesting game in a lot of ways, not the least of which was the play of Chane Behanan, which has been discussed at length in this thread already. Really impressed with how "Silent L", Montrezl Harrell was able to hold his own at the 5 when Gorgui was out.
