They do not have what it takes to win it all, no.

I'll be tickled to no end if they can make the Sweet 16 or Elite 8. The days of winning the tournament several years in a row like UCLA did in the 1960's is over. This is a young, inexperienced team. Last year's team had Miller, Jones, and Lamb to right the ship when things got tough. This year's team doesn't have that kind of veteran players. Even the Wall-Cousins-Bledsoe team had Patterson, Stevenson, and Miller around to give leadership. I'm pleased with the progress this team has made.

Don't get spoiled by recent success. Its never easy to win a title. Just remember how bad it was before Cal got here. These are good times for UK basketball.

For those saying they don't have the talent to win it all, the NCAA tournament is a single elimination crapshoot. If Butler can make consecutive finals UK can do it. No, that doesn't mean I think they will win it all but college basketball is pretty bad right now. They are not an upper echilan team, but the difference between them and the next tier of teams is, or at least by season's end is not much.

In my opinion, it all matters on Harrow continuing to improve. He has the be the calming influence. On Saturday, he was too content being off of the ball when UofL's press started heating up.

I liked how Cal took the blame for the loss. He's good. He's real good. I'm glad he is at UK so I can see more than just another basketball coach. I really like that man and if he wasn't at UK I'd never see the whole Coach Cal.

Given how Harrow started the season, I am big-time impressed with how Cal has gotten him to respond. If we were making predictions on how Harrow would play at UL one month ago, I would have guessed 2 points, 7 turnovers, 1 assist, and floor urination. We shall see if he gets through to Poythress, but Cal has a good track record.
