If UL clicks on all cylinders they will win it all, which would be kinda cool (hard to say) in that the state of Kentucky would have a Alabama football version of keeping the championship in state. I'm okay with UL being Auburn and UK being Alabama...

Sounds like you, and all your friends are in the 18%. I was pleasantly surprised by the Cats yesterday, and feel much better about this young team.

Don't worry. One of two things will happen in the coming days: 1) the Minnesota Vikings will lose this afternoon and be eliminated from the playoffs or 2) the Minnesota Vikings will beat Green Bay today only to be rewarded with a divisional playoff trip to Lambeau Field, at which time they will get beat by 30. Either way, I'll retreat to my normal pessimism about the teams I pull for and be absolute misery for other fans to be around.

Really impressed with how "Silent L", Montrezl Harrell was able to hold his own at the 5 when Gorgui was out.

Loved the fight that the Cats showed, after Lville opened it up early in the second half I thought UK was going to get ran out of the gym. Two biggest games of the year, against two title contenders in Duke/UL, Kentucky fought back with scrappy effort to at least give them a chance late. I pin pointed this game 3-4 weeks ago as the game in which we would see what this team was going to be about. They had only been playing one game a week, and after classes ended for the semester they had been going 2-3 times a day in practice. I'm glad to see how far they have come in such a short time, if they continue to progress they will be decent by tournament time. Still the worst team of the Cal era, but their effort at least gives you something to be proud of. One thing I do know, no one will want to see this team in March, going to be a very tough out for anybody.

I do not believe in a "moral victory". i will say that after watching the game I certainly feel that the Cats played well and should had won the game. I felt that UK outhustled UL, all of the missed ft's, UL being far more experienced was key imo. I agree with others in that I was pleased with how the Cats played. this was a #3 team in the country and imo UK should had won the game. UK will be fine and by SEC/NCAA tourney time will be a far better team. No excuses, congrats to the UL/bgp fans. As always.....GO BIG BLUE!!!

Still a long way to go for this team if tey want to make it.

 

-Poythress has fallen hard and doesn't seem to give any effort

 

-Goodwin has the skills to win games but has the lack of control and mentality to lose games as well.

All in all this team has progressed but they are still not playing as a team most of the game.
