First thing I'll say is who posted the pic has an anti-gun agenda. They found a stock photo with tons of add ons and wrote "this is legal." ok enough of that.

 

It's your typical AR-15. Fairly common gun. I have a couple. They are standard patrol rifles carried by law enforcement. They are semi-auto and are chambered to shoot both .223 and .556 rounds. Very accurate weapon system. The one in that photo is set up for long distance/hunting. Most ARs do not have that kind of scope or bi-pod on the for end.

Ryan Lanza Identified By Police As Gunman In Deadly Connecticut Elementary School Shooting

 

 

"The suspect in one of the the deadliest school shootings in history has been identified as Ryan Lanza, authorities said Friday.

 

According to police, Lanza, 24, is suspected of killing 27 people -- 8 adults and 18 children -- at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

 

The shooter was killed during the rampage and several others were injured. The identities of the shooting victims has not yet been released.

 

Lanza was wearing dark clothing, a mask, a bulletproof vest, and was carrying four guns. A cause and manner of death is pending, police said.

Unconfirmed reports say that principal Dawn Hochsprung and a school psychologist were killed, according to a parent who claimed to witness part of the attack, CNN reported.

 

The masked gunman entered the school administration office around 9:40 a.m., about 30 minutes after the school day began. The first 911 call was received by police one minute later.

 

Investigators said the gunman fired his weapon at least 100 times.

Well that brought me to tears at work.

Wont do much good, you cant carry it most of the places where these events happen.

 

Its not stopping the psychos. I guess I will take my chances. I would least want a fighting chance. The police can't be everywhere and the conceal carry holders need to have exceptions. These people are law abidding and have the will to protect themselves and the people around them.

They can be, but it's not a lot of knock down for deer and the amount of rounds they can have loaded I believe is very few. Honestly most have it for shooting as a hobby.

Maybe it's time some teachers begin to get trained on weapons and be allowed to carry...
