I am sure we have probably been over this in the past but I would like to revisit it.

I will start off strong on this question, being gay is not a choice, you are hardwired, and anyone that thinks being gay is a choice needs to see a doctor because your bible hit you too hard in the head.

It took me a few seconds to get your comment. I went from ready to look up your true identity to laughing.

The gender one is attracted to is not a choice, it is a characteristic of who we are. The decision to act on that attraction, is however, a choice.

And who in their right mind would decide to spend their adult time with someone they are not attracted to!?

To me being attracted to same sex is like me being attracted to redheads, round rears, and nice thighs and NOT being attracted to Asian women. I can't explain it. I just am or I am not.

I don't get how one guy can be attracted to another guys hairy butt.

You are Guru and you have made it quite clear what you feel is the right answer.

In some cases yes & in other cases no. I don't believe every homosexual is born with homosexual impulses, but some certainly are.

I wish that I could vote yes and no because in my opinion it's not that simple.

I do not believe that people are "born gay". If it's an arguement of nature vs. nurture than I definitely lean on the nuture side. I voted yes, but I believe that things happen in your life from a very early age, whether consciously or subconsciously, that pull you in different directions (including your sexual orientation). I don't believe that you are born gay, you made a choice (Consciously or Subconsciously).

Someone I'm sure will bring out Webster's and say that by definition "Choice" is doing something of conscious mind. That is fine. I just don't think you are born gay. I think things happen throughout your life that might pull/push you in one direction or another. I'm probably making the question harder than it needs to be, but its how I feel.

We are all on a scale of 0-10. Very few people are a true 0 or a true 10. Depending on your interactions and experiences throughout your life, whether you realize it or not, places you somewhere on that scale. And I don't believe where you land on the scale is permanent, you can move up or down it throughout your life, or you could stay put.

Not at all.

Now there are people (and I think this occurs more frequently with women than men) that get fed up with the opposite sex and "experiment" with same sex relationships, however those people aren't gay, they're more hedonists than anything. Just looking for that good feeling. JMO.

I don't know . Anyone ? Anyone ? Bueller ? Bueller ?

More or less my view.

I do have a buddy that likes to say he doesn't know if he is gay because he has never tried it. He says he might be.
