Wow! 9 people hit Yes? That blows me away. I am as conservative as they come with most things, but I truly believe that being Gay is not a choice. I think that it's a choice whether or not to fight how nature made you. That's a different thing. I have known some that are clearly fighting and have made the choice to not Live Gay.

You are Guru and you have made it quite clear what you feel is the right answer.

You are Guru AND you know my true identitiy and probably where I live.

I'm not participating. I'm not that stupid.

Did I mention I won't go into a trailer park after dark? :scared:

In some cases yes & in other cases no. I don't believe every homosexual is born with homosexual impulses' date=' but some certainly are.[/quote']

I could probably buy this really.

Not at all.

Now there are people (and I think this occurs more frequently with women than men) that get fed up with the opposite sex and "experiment" with same sex relationships, however those people aren't gay, they're more hedonists than anything. Just looking for that good feeling. JMO.

This. But I think for the purposes of this thread my vote is a definite no, it's not a choice.

Single women experimenting like that is downright prevalent in my experience.

In my experience if you take a hot, single woman; chances are more than 50% of them have had sexual encounters with other women. I know that % sounds crazy...

And I agree the majority of those women are either bisexual or just looking for a good time like UK mentioned.

As to guys, I have no idea but I agree with Andrew Dice Clay, you either suck dick, or you don't suck dick.

I voted no, but agree with your sentiments on the subject.

Also, for those people who are undecided, it may help to consider the opposite of the question being posed. In other words, is being straight a choice? Do straight people purposely gravitate towards people of the opposite sex or is it a naturally occurring, subconscious attraction? Thinking about it that way may help some people answer the "Is being gay a choice?" question. Just a thought....

I find it interesting that most males either have dreamed about watching two or more females together in person or in porn, or have watched in person or in porn, they think it's the best thing in the world. But change the females with males and they think it's disgusting.

What do you base your scientific beliefs on?

Lack of evidence. It is almost impossible to scientifically prove a negative. Everytime people have attempted to prove that homosexuality or pedaphilia is natural, they fail to do so. I do not want to get deep into a discussion, I simply answered the poll and gave a brief opinion. This topic of conversation is rarely productive or influential for either side. It's like wrestling a pig.

Do you believe in God?

Maybe this is just "guy logic" but I can see where females are attracted to to other females.

But you don't see how males could be attracted to other males?
