The nature v nurture logic sounds rational until you think of a house where every child is straight except one. Did he get nurtured differently?

 

How was that child affected by things at school? On the bus? Was he subconsciously affected by something on television differently than the other child? No matter how similar you raise your children, they turn out different. It amazes my mom how different my brother and I are in many things, and that is because certain things soaked in more with me, and vice versa for him.

 

It's a very fair question, but with there not being any scientific evidence one way or the other, it makes me lean to the psychological side of the conversation.

 

I will say that the Nature vs. Nurture conversation doesn't just end when childhood does. Things are constantly affecting you, consciously and subconsciously in my opinion.

Why? In that same household, one kid's favorite color is blue even though all the other kids like red. One kid doesn't like mac and cheese, but the other kids consider it their favorite meal.

 

True perspective: I have a friend who is very much heterosexual, he has three bothers. Him and one brother act very feminine, most people think they are gay when they first meet them. The other two brothers are very masculine and not gay either. Why? I don't know, but I speculate that two brothers were "momma's boys" and the other two were "daddies boys". The two feminine boys are closer to their mom and not close with their dad. The two masculine boys are very close with their dad and not with their mom. Nature/Nurture.

Maybe you all can let this guy come over for a chili dinner and give you a lesson.

You probably don't want to know, but a dental dam is a contraceptive placed in your mouth prior to performing oral sex. It can be used by both sexes.

 

It's also used by dentists while performing dental work.

B I don't think we are born straight or gay, however the vast majority of us are straight because that was so ingrained into us through our interactions, relationships, and things we didnt' even realize at a young age!

I don't think that those of who are straight are that way because it was ingrained in us. I don't know what the scientific term is, but we were born with a need continue our species, which happens when 2 people of the opposite sex come together, which makes straight people attracted to the opposite sex. It is an instinct, not ingrained.

I do not have an answer for the gay attraction. Not today anyway.
