Are there any coaches out there that are good coaches and good recruiters? I think you need a good combination of both.

David Cutcliffe is the name I hear, but what about Frank Solich?

 

Solich would be a good hire. Experience at the highest levels of college FB, name recognition with recruits and proved he could win at different stops along the way.

Scribe-how in the heck do you see it as a lateral move for Willie Taggart? I love WKU but even the top in the Sunbelt is a big step up to last in the SEC.

Nothing would joy me more than Butch Jones coming to the Bluegrass... That said, I do not think it is probable..

Because, like me, he feels that membership in the SEC doesn't necessarily mean you're SEC-quality. The UK football program is one of the worst in the country, regardless of conference, and I would argue that there are far more opportunities for a coach to be successful at WKU than at UK.

Ark - Charlie Strong

A guy I would like to see UK consider is Chris Hatcher. Hatch won the national championship at Valdosta St... went to Georgia Southern where it was a poor fit (They wanted to run the option), but was still semi successful. He is a name that could keep the recruiting pipeline to south Georgia and Northern Florida and he would run an open offense.

 

Another guy I really like is Dean Hood at EKU. I think he is a high character guy that gets it and is a good football coach. While he was at Wake Forrest as DC they were rolling pretty good. They have been in a steady decline ever since he left to come to EKU.

What about Trinitys coach? He doesnt have anything going on next year.
