Etown is rumored to get a Hooters. I'd prefer a B-Dubs but still, I CAN'T wait. Hoping they will stay open for UFC fights and weekday UK games. No bar in Etown gets UFC fights and I've had to leave at halftime many times during UK games...

I live in Louisville and frankly, there is very little I dislike about where I live, if anything.

 

I love the food scene. I love that we have an extraordinary park system. I love the committment of the community on issues, and the way we rally to help others. I love that Louisville is small enough that I know my neighbors, and have a sense of community, but still have the Orchestra, Opera, Ballet, baseball, major concerts, Actor's Theatre, and darned good zool. I love that there's pretty much a festival every weekend from March through November. I love being able to walk down the street and speak to people I see and they respond. I love the Ali museum, the Speed, the Main Branch of LFPL, and St. James Art Show. I love our committment to preserving our heritage...Old Louisville, NuLu, Main Street, The Highlands. I love helping keep Louisville Weird. I love the committment to supporting local businesses. I love that there's a farmers market somewhere every day of the week. And if I can't make one of them, there's Roots. I could go on and on and on.

 

I dislike Fern Creek and the Dixie Highway and Hurstbourne Lane corridors.

There are 25,000 or so people in E'town, and there's about as much going on there as there is in Phelps, Ky. It's quite possibly the dullest place on Earth per capita.

Well, that's why I went with the per capita thing. I have to believe that if Inez were as large as E'town, by default there'd be some things happening, if for no other reason than the people living there are far more interesting than the E'town dullards.

Southgate Ky . Dislike The public school system .Should merge with Newport or Ft Thomas .

Love Ft. Thomas. Great school system; well managed city govt; neat small town feel; but can be in the parking garage of my law office in downtown Cincinnati in less than 10 minutes. Lived here my entire life except for time away at college and the Marines. Not one negative thing to say about it.

Alexandria/Cold Spring. I lived in CS most of my live but now Alexandria. I'm a fan of both. Decent schools and you can still get that country feel in a lot of places. I can get to downtown Cincy pretty quickly.

I would guess that the taxes it takes to pay for those jobs probably costs you a few dollars a year, is that really your complaint?
