The VP debate, while somewhat meaningless, intrigues me more than the Presidential debates. At least with that one we can hear how Ryan once bench pressed an Escalade or Biden may start cussing for no apparent reason.

Our plant manager here was calling DC trying to get tickets to the VP debate at Centre. :lol: I'm intrigued by that one as well.

October 2, 201213 yr I thought George Will had a great comment in regards to Mr Romney. October is not the time to bring forth new ideas. It's the time for final discussion. I watch the debates purely from an interest viewpoint as rarely is there anything new that comes out of them. Mr Romney summed it up well yesterday when he said that the concept of winning and losing a debate is silly. It's a chance to hear each side say how they plan on moving the country forward. So, it can be entertaining but I just do not see it being a way to determine who one will vote for. I actually would question any one who says they will use the debates to make a decision. That tells me those people have not been paying attention for the last year. You are 100% right and most of the people who are letting the debates make their decision will start following the election with the first debate. They are also the people that will decide this and most elections.

Can you give me the details as to how Mr Romney is going to create 12M jobs? How he is going to cut taxes for all and not have to raise taxes for the middle class? Wasn't Rep Ryan just quoted as saying it would take too long to explain the tax plan?

I don't think Romney can give us the details on how that will happen. :lol: Seriously, how many voters will know the details of those plans on election day? If Romney tries to explain all that, he is doomed. If it takes more than one or two 8th grade level sentences to explain his position, then he needs to work harder on developing that sentence or two. I still say likeability and connecting with voters is the most important thing Romney needs to come out of the debate with. Platform and position details will not win votes. K.I.S.S., smile, laugh and come across as someone you would like to sit down and have a conversation with.

October 3, 201213 yr Polls show the election getting tighter in 2 swing states - VA and FL. Some say Mr Romney is going to have to take his Ohio spend out of Ohio and put it into those two states.
