I really liked you until this point right now. You have officially crossed the line so I will no longer defend your antics as playful banter. You have pride in your school, that's good. Everyone talks about why people send their kids to Ft Thomas schools and the reason is usually stated by out of district folks as just for football. Do you have any idea how many kids are in our elementary schools that aren't playing football at Highlands right now? We have more elementary out of district students paying tuition than SK probably has football players. It's the education here that draws people away from wherever they are to come here. I see it first hand as my wife is a teacher and every time I talk to someone all they talk about is how patient her and other teachers are to their child's specific needs ans it makes me ten times more proud than that state championship ring that barely fits my fat hand anymore. Get a life brother!

I would think even bigger names would be desired to challenge the team and make seasons more meaningful. BG would be good, St. X and Trinity if they truly want to be named amoung the states best and not just bumpkin teams.

The Rafferty's Bowl is a Bowling Green High fundraiser. Warren Central was a staple for years, but to my knowledge there was no revenue sharing or anything like that. They were paid as the other teams are paid and it was otherwise Bowling Green's baby. Same deal as it was these past two years. Next year, Bowling Green is playing Lexington Catholic and Allen County-Scottsville will be playing Mercer County.

 

As to the idea of bringing a Highlands or other NKY team down for either the Rafferty's Bowl or Rivals Bowls, I'm not opposed to that, but I also never see it happening.

 

Agreed 100%. Highlands days of traveling long distances to play in kickoff Bowl games are over imo.

Highlands spends enough money on there current travel schedule and factor in playoff travel and WKU travel and expenses and I think you get the message.

Now if someone wants to flip the bill to bus the Birds to a game and pay a handsome appearance dividend then I think you might get Dales attention regardless of the opponent. JMO:thumb:

 

I do love the idea of playing in the kickoff Bowl games, if matched up with the right opponent it can make for some really good football.

And the schools in NKy that can compete with Cov Cath and Highlands are who exacly? And did Highlands accept when Colerain, Moeller and Cincy St. X came calling?

 

Yes, yes , and yes...SK is closer to the size of these schools than Highlands. How many times has SK played any of the 3 you mentioned?

I feel the same way about UK#1fan. I don't bother responding to his posts as he has zero credibility with me. Arguing with him would be like arguing with my chair. It's pointless. The best way to handle him is for everyone that sees through the "he's just a great fan" baloney, is to not respond to any of his posts. You're right! He may think he's doing SK a good service by generating exposure to them. However, when the exposure is not good, then its a detractor. I find myself rooting against them, which I'm sure seveal are. Then I think to myself, I actually like SK. I have friends that have kids there. I have coached several of their kids. I like what they are doing out there, but then root my tail off against them because of one goofball. I'm done with him too!!!
