I have been told that this is a "done" deal. The schools are now trying to get ESPN, Fox or CBS to maybe broadcast the game pitting a 6 time state champ against the defending 2A champ from Florida. This is a great opportunity for Highlands for no other reason than to fill out there schedule for 2013.

You do what you can do. Who is to say they did not have discussions about a game? I for one cannot speak to that one way or another. The important thing is that it is a 10th game on the schedule.

That may be true, but did Bowling Green have an opening on that date this late in the process. I don't know the answer to that, but I am guessing not. There are a lot of match-ups that would be nice but are not feasible.

Highlands playing BG in 13, would be just winning or losing to another KY team. (We often hear how "others" think about Ky high school football.)

 

Playing a 2A state title team from Florida would have the whole NKY area "rocking" , even the haters might jump on the bandwagon. Win or lose it would show just how far this HHS program has come. Talk about national exposier?
