Agreed. WR Justin Weyer comes to mind when I read "smart guys". He has quality hands, can run, make the tough catch, and is an all-around good athlete to go along with him just being a fantastic teammate!

I am thinking we may see less running from the QB position this season. I gotta think the backfield starts with Harris and Hayes and goes from there. I fully expect to see Dougherty to kick and punt this year. Even if it might not begin that way it may end up that way. I can also see Dougherty getting some carries on Friday too, but if not, he will be top running option on JV. I expect to see more bone rattling hits from Cowboy Abner on the defensive side of the ball. Add in Hits from Wrobleski, Urlage, Murray, among many others. Hope will anchor a strong D-line and the father-son Scott Turner combo will lead a veteran O-line! I see Nick True to play good at TE. A couple of guys I am looking fwd to watching that played mostly JV last yr are Bo Hebel & Beau Hoge. Hebel has the ability to dominate on the line and Hoge was as exciting as it gets last yr on offense flashing some Hamblen like moves. I have been looking fwd to Houliston playing QB for a couple of seasons now as well!

 

The problem with a reply like mine is that this team has many other quality guys that will contribute that I failed to mention...Schweitzer, E. Allen, Saunders, Schoepf among them. Hopefully, JOAT, Sweep, or TDYballgame can pick up where I left off.

What about Josh Watson? Does he play this year and where? Thought he was pretty productive on the JV team last year, but I don't hear his name brought up much. I know they have a ton of very good players, but just thought I'd start hearing his name more. Not real close to the situation, so maybe I'm mis-informed.

HHS on the OL has had size the past couple years that is unbelievable for them!

Yep. I think Highlands has a legit shot at beating Trinity and I would be most interested in seeing that game, even though it is a scrimmage. Trinity is the best team on the schedule, aren't they?

That would probably be #2 for me, although I know very little about that Florida team so they could move ahead of Elder in my pecking order.

Saw a couple kids at the pool the other day.....Highlands either has a top notch weightlifting coach/program or the JuiceWeasel is loose....freakish to think these are just teenagers.
