I know Bir is good and all, but why did CovCath get so cute? H went w 2 down linemen and in the 3 rd CovCath finally decided to exploit the middle w their running game and gashed them. They scored. Last possession of the third they stopped. Run for 8 and then pass?? Then waste a TO with one second left in the quarter after a huge good run? To set up what? Everyone knew that a pass was coming. Don't get it. By the way CovCath fans are impossible to sit by.

That reminded me so much of the game winning pass for Cov Cath, several years ago -- in the exact same corner.

They were just alike.

Fanboy and I were in it too right next to the student section.

Lol......"Discount Double Check".....those were classic!!!

Blake Bir. As advertised.

Way too many flags on both sides. Birds answer question as to whether they can defend the pass. Their pressure on Birr was key. Birds passing game came up big when they needed it. Both clubs learned a lot about the other, ane the next one will likely be closer. Good job by both schools. Stay healthy until the rematch.

Two pretty competitive teams, if CovCath eliminates the penalties and doesn't muff punts the game would have been really close. I expect the annual rematch in the playoffs to be a barn burner. Great game with two great teams.

On a side note my nephew who is a Bird played a great game tonight I was super pumped for him.

You have to admit the CovCath "flea flicker" was a thing of beauty, CovCath was selling and Highlands bought. :thumb:

However CovCath shot themselves in the foot way too many times and you can't do that against Highlands. Enjoyable game though.

Alright, have to mention Harris's run tonight......YouTube worthy And How 'bout McCoy shouldering a half dozen Colonels on several different plays. Hats off to these young men and the Bluebird D........Jac Collinsworth made two outstanding catches as well.:thumb:

What happened on the kickoff where it was short and CCH looked like they called a fair catch and there was an unsportsmanlike penalty on the Birds? I didn't see anything.

We need some stats, Clyde. Offense and Defense.

I got nothing. I'll have to wait for Skinner's article or TOG's report.

BTW, I met your beautiful bride tonight.

A HHS coverage guy popped a Colonel at midfield as the whistle blew.

Glad to see Matt Summe get some PT. He made one hell of a catch on the lob to the end zone. Nice athlete.

Great catch!

Good game it is amazing how much trouble McCoy causes with his feet. It's like playing against that guy in Madden who rolls out with Vick and runs it 75% of the time. He changes the whole game by doing this. Really felt like Seidl stepped up tonight.

Covcath special teams have to get it in gear, great game for #7 and I'd let #27 run it almost every running play.

7 is Matt Summe who has backed up Blake Bir at QB the last two years.

27 is Luke Bir.

Fielding punts and kickoffs seemed to be a challenge tonight for CCH.
