Highlands 35 Covington Catholic 21

Clearly a one-sided argument. Yes the case could be made that CCH was aided by short fields on some scores but HHS was as well with muffed kicks and CCH penalties. Better team won last night no doubt. Let's see what happens in November.

Indeed one sided. I think that was my point. This game was pretty one sided in reality. A lot of talk about what could have been. H was three touchdowns better.

Did Sam Dressman touch the ball ?

Fumbled punt gave HHS a short field.

Kickoffs by HHS bounced around too long and no return could be set up.

At least two shanked punts gave HHS good field position.

Pretty solid HHS kickoff returns gave HHS good field position.

Spot on Clyde. :thumb:

Any word on the JV game today?

JV won 63-56.

Yes, Highlands JV continued the dominance...! Hard fought and ugly.

My apologies for not specifying which team won..

I do not believe that he played.

Am I correct that the CCH D-line jumped offsides 3 times?

Yes they did jump. Highlands did a nice job of getting to the line quickly and CCH d just couldn't adjust. So thye would jmp or just about jump. If the d didn't take the bait them Highlands would set the play at the line. It was very effective and as a CCH fan, somewhat irritating. :)

He punted.

JV game. In a word disappointment. If you were at the game, you know what I am talking about. I'm sure everything will get worked out and taken care of.

That play was a thing of beauty, while it was unfolding all you could do was think are they really going to do this! Then the end zone was wide open and our thoughts were don't drop it. The highlight of the night for this CCH fan. Good game overall, way to many CCH mistakes and missed tackles. Got to wrap the arms and drive them back. HHS backs do a nice job of cutting against the grain, looking down field and never falling back once contact is made. Several times that was the difference on third down. Looking forward to the playoff rematch.. as usual.

I usually have something negative to say about the Cov Cath Carazies (mainly because they irritate me as an opponent) but I have to give them props for last night. It looked like every one of them stuck it out to the very end. They never let up with their cheers or enthusiasm -- even when things looked to be out of hand. :thumb:

JV won 63-56.
