  1. By the way don't forget tomorrow is Veterans Day if you are one thank you for your service, I hope you get to enjoy the day. If not then find a few and call the and thank them for their service. Either way we are a blessed bunch because of the sacrafice of these brave men and women. Which allows us to freely exchange our ideas and insights without worry or oppression. Take care and God Bless the USA! The greatest country on the face of this earth.
  2. It most often boils down to great coaches, good kids, awesome parents and boosters supporting the school and their kids. That is the case in most private schools and in some small public schools, like in Nor. Ky; Beechwood and Highlands are both public schools. You have to live in district or if there is room you can pay tuition and they both have awesome coaches, students and parent/booster support.
  3. true trench, but most public schools have a larger student body to pull from don't they?
  4. Do my eyes deceive me or does that young lady have three breasts?
  5. Apparently that was the best game Spence has played since the Highlands game two years ago, the day his mother passed. Listened on line last night. Glad they beat them, saw the game two years ago and they were not a class team or fans.
  6. True KBH, it is hard enough to get AD's to take lacrosse seriously, this does nothing to get the programs up and running.
  7. Its looking like a big stinkin mess. Really last years set up was good and fair all the way around. Just use that and lets "lax it up".
  8. I agree bluegrasscard, the key tp Ky kax is getting youth leagues co ordinated with schools and feeders to high school. It is hard to tricky down from High schools that are not receptive to expand their sports programs. That has been the biggest set back for Nor. Ky lax. hard to break down old line thinking from AD's who have too much on the plate now or just are not forward thinking.
  9. As if last week the KLA was still looking for input. It would appear they Louisville metro wants to stay in Louisville. I don't think it is good for Ky Lax. I think they should just stick to last years format, most of the Louisville teams were in D1 anyway. We all know they are the dominant force in Ky lax, but circling the wagons and shutting out the rest of Ky does nothing for Ky lax. JMHO
  10. That play was a thing of beauty, while it was unfolding all you could do was think are they really going to do this! Then the end zone was wide open and our thoughts were don't drop it. The highlight of the night for this CCH fan. Good game overall, way to many CCH mistakes and missed tackles. Got to wrap the arms and drive them back. HHS backs do a nice job of cutting against the grain, looking down field and never falling back once contact is made. Several times that was the difference on third down. Looking forward to the playoff rematch.. as usual.
  11. Yes they did jump. Highlands did a nice job of getting to the line quickly and CCH d just couldn't adjust. So thye would jmp or just about jump. If the d didn't take the bait them Highlands would set the play at the line. It was very effective and as a CCH fan, somewhat irritating.
  12. JUST COACH MAN IT IS EASIER ON THE JOINTS AND IT IS TWICE AS MUCH FUN.
  13. So true reb! Now the warriors are about to start fall skills EVERY SUNDAY FROM OCTOBER 21st thru November 18th at BEECHWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: YOUTH (4,5,6th graders) 1-2:30 Middle (7 & 8th graders) 2-3:30 HIGH SCHOOL (9-12th) 3-5 Great time to explore lax without spending a lot of money PASS IT ON!
  14. The real question is.... will the Cov Cath student body scrounge up enough money to hire the bagpipe guy. Colonels by 4-5 TD's.
  15. Coach Werth will not run it up, if it gets out of hand he will run in the 2nd & 3rd line. He is a class act and not his style. NOW if it were Highlands, HELL yes! run it up, run it over and back over them again.
  16. Actually Dixie was our first "experiement" and it has gone according to plan, now we need to branch out to the middle schools in the county. So talk it up ICALL and lets get this thing moving.
  17. Well oldreb, you my friend are just the folks we need to progress Nor. Ky lax. Our goal is to have a combined club team from Boone county, we have numerous Ryle guys now. Not enough to fill up a full roster. There are enough boys in Ryle, we just need a few more Coach Herbert is the logical choice to run the Ryle team, he lives in district and played HS & college lax. How old are your little ones, you know we do have the warriors youth and middle school teams. Check us out on the web site and jump back in the game, we need your experience.
  18. Great to here good news for Coach Broosart, he has had his share of bad breaks and just not being treated rgiht. Hats off to coach and prayers for his wife.
  19. thanks for the update keep em coming
  20. Yes, it will happen, remember lax only started about 7-8 years ago at CCH and then Nor. Ky warriors boys team in 2005. Title nine has some schools frightened and not wanting to go there. It has to start at the grade school level, and build from there, our problem is we don't have the volunteer resources (coaches, refs, venues, volunteers). It takes a lot of volunteers willing to pull the wagon and not ride in it. But again, it will happen, we just got a late start in tis wonderful game of lacrosse.
