Trinity 63 Highlands 31 (Scrimmage)

Hope so, hope their brains hear that a lot because I think this group will respond like champions to this beating. Senior leaders first test.

I agree. It is not the end of the world by any means. It is a very long time between now and December.

The rocks are underrated. They are a better team right now than they were in week five last year. If there are twelve teams better than them in the country this is a stellar year. I have been watching high school football for several decades now and have not seen twelve teams better than where Trinity is today in all of that time. I am not talking just Kentucky. I am talking throughout the country.

Trinity vs. Colerain's state champs from several years back would be my dream matchup right now. Probably two of the five best teams I have seen in person. Ever.

Better team played better. Hard to evaluate HHS against T, but it will certainly help coaching staff get the attention of any Birds that were already sizing rings for #6 (although I suspect that was a very small #, if any).

2012 T is on another level (as they have been recently). Good luck for the remainder of the season.

T v HHS Programs (historically) is a good conversation with merits to both sides worthy of being conducted over a tall, cold beverage.

I agree, they apparently have 6 D1 recruits on that team, one of which is a stud running back. However I did hear they do rely on several key players to go both ways. Really looking forward to next Friday night and the entire season.

Thanks for the accolades. I am looking forward to seeing the Rocks for the 1st time this year on Friday. Seems to be much debate on how the team will fare this year. Some say no one is within 3 or 4 tds of T, Avidtiger seems to believe we don't have a chance against Lou St X. I visit Yappi from time to time and and see things like:

"I think X will beat them at their place just like they did 2 yrs ago and in 2007 when their all world team came to X for a spanking something like 49-21. Dawkins their RB doesn't impress me I think X shuts him down again.

Wright does impress me but he is going to have fewer options than Quick, not as good of a line and will be throwing into an experienced X defensive secondary. Defensively I am not convinced Trinity will be as good as last year and X will have 5 players capable of taking it to the house at any given time.X 21-14"

So now we have lost to both X schools and the I haven't even mentioned what the Moeller people think. Granted I got over the Yappi arrogance long ago, but it is interesting reading. I must say you are brave comparing us to the Colerain team. I have seen that done before and the anger from the OH fans was insane. According to them , that team should have played for the BCS championship that year.

So some say we are good, some say the opposite. Should be fun watching it unfold. :thumb:

My only concern for the D is that they let some receivers get over the top against Highlands and they were without two of their top deep threats in Christian and Collinsworth. I do believe that the circumstances of the game at that time may have lent to this as well. Highlands was just a bit off the mark and Trinity never payed the price. Highlands attempted several more times and just could not get the big completion when it was there.

The reason I mention Colerain is that the contrasting styles would make for a great matchup.

 no its the opposite. T fans think X has no chance and im saying dont count your chickens before they hatch because this team is better than last.

36 points better? Any team can win on any given day but I'm not sure now is the time to stir the pot. Quite a tall task.

I have nothing against X , I'm only a T fan when they play out of state teams.Trinity's fans , coaches and players should think that nobody can beat them, that's what it is all about. I really don't care who wins state in 6A in Ky.

It's going to be a long winter for you if you have a reaction when somebody praises the players or the team or coaches at Trinity. It's a long season and anything can happen throughout the year. I'm not saying that X can't beat T, but I did see T the last two years and it didn't look like they graduated the entire O line. When people say good things about T it is not to disrespect X. Don't take things so personal.

I hope the Tigers do well this season, and hope they stay injury free.

I have not seen any T fans saying X has no chance. I HAVE seen you trying to start something on EVERY T thread,

Whew! I'm glad this thread has gone from the butt whoopin we took to St X's future game against T. Hahahaha! Good luck with that one.
