Urban has abig chore ahead of him to get Quick to sign at Ohio State. I'm thinking Quick would want to stay close to home, in a warm climate setting, but that's just my opinion.I'am thinking Alabama, but that' just my opinion.

I guess I should clarify that vague statement.

 

Tremendous hit by Abner. The runner was nearing the sideline, slowed up a bit with a defender grabbing him, started to cut and then was rocked. By "vulnerable" I meant he was not fully ready for it as he was trying to shake another defender off and had slowed to cut. It was not in any way meant to imply anything negative or dirty about the hit. 100% clean legit knockout blow.

Also, #17 Quick was warming up the third string center by taking snaps from him in the fourth quarter on sidelines. Class Act... he talks to all teammates with smile on his face...good luck to T this year and hopefully our Birds will learn lessons from this game and go on to number 6.

Quick was awesome to watch, no question. Dawkins was also very impressive running the football. What schools are looking at him?

 

McCoy seemed to be off on his timing a little and that will come, the kid is a gamer and will lead this Bluebird team to several wins and possibly a 6th straight State Title. No need to fret over his performance last night vs one of the best defenses in the nation. The Birds main concern right now should be learning how to wrap up when they make initial contact. I saw a lot of kids bouncing off and not wrapping up. I know its very hard to wrap up on something that is flying by at the speed of light though.

 

Outside of soph Abner's big hit, I didnt see a lot of wood being layed and that is also missing from this Bluebird Defense. A lot of athletes who can run and have a lot of heart but just didnt see the big hitter with attitude last night. Back to Abner, the kid has a lot of moxy out there for a Soph and seems to have added some nice size. I can see him being just as good as his older brother.

 

Hopefully the Birds can also get healthy for next week's game vs Boyle Co. I saw Christian and Collinsworth both Starting receivers standing on the sidelines in street clothes.

 

Good luck to both teams in their quest for another state title. I wouldnt want to be any Bluebird opponent the rest of this year is all I have to say. I am sure there are some extremely ticked off players and coaches this morning.

I've seen Mr. Quick several times now and I leave more impressed every time I do. He is just something special. I look forward to following T again this year to see if they can work their way back into the top 5 and maybe a repeat. I think they can.

Trinity's D line is huge? I thought most of the talk has been about the DLine's speed more so than its size.
