July 19, 201214 yr I had a great-uncle who lost all his toes to frostbite in WW2. He got around fine, so I am choosing a toe.
July 19, 201214 yr As long as it isn't the big toe, definitely toe over finger. If it is between big toe and a finger, I choose pinky finger. This
July 19, 201214 yr My grandpa worked on the rail road a long time ago and once got his foot ran over which caused him to lose several toes. He was fine and he wasn't the most athletic man. I'll go with a toe, as long as it doesn't have to be one of the big toes.
July 19, 201214 yr Not to undercut the value of balance, but I don't think losing a toe is going to cause you to fall down constantly. It would take me a long time to re-learn how to type without one of my fingers, even the pinkies.
July 19, 201214 yr I play multiple instruments - primarily keys and the guitar. I'd go for a toe, no question about it.
July 19, 201214 yr Neither. I'm gonna pull out my gat and blast all those fools. Naw, it's be a toe. I'm old enough to get by with 9 toes. I need all ten fingers.
July 20, 201214 yr Pinky finger? On the left hand? Is that an option? I would get rid of ring or middle before pinky. Need that pinky for overall hand grip and reach stability. And I'm keeping all my toes.
July 20, 201214 yr I'm starting to wonder, how bad to you need a middle toe? Be like a hoof on a cow I guess
July 20, 201214 yr It takes 4 fingers to balance my iPhone in my hand. I'm using 9 fingers to hold it and type this post. If you want to count my left hand pinky finger for support of my left hand ring finger then I am using all 10 fingers to type this post. Lose the toe. Chop off both of my 4th toes actually. My pinky toes need some space after 37 years.
July 20, 201214 yr Reminds me of a story my dad told me about when he worked at a local bank. When somebody got a payment behind, they would call and ask about why. So this conversation went like this. Dad: Joe, I noticed you missed your last payment and you have another one coming due. Joe: Yeah sorry about that I've been out of work. Dad: Did you get laid off? Joe: No it is just for a couple more weeks, see I accidentally cut off a finger on the equipment. Dad: Did you cut off your whole finger? Joe: No, the one right next to it. True story. July 20, 201214 yr I'm starting to wonder, how bad to you need a middle toe? I would think the loss of any toe is going to impact your balance to some extent. This is what I thought I'd go with, the middle toe. And if balance is really going to be affected, they can have both my middle toes!
