Featured Replies

I have heard that he is taking the Assistant Principle job at Woodland Middle School.

Anyone heard this?

That would be devastating to Scott football. Back to zero and 1 win seasons very quickly if this is true IMO.

Correct, he is asst principal at Woodland, and because of this he has to step down as head coach at Scott. Coach Woolley will be interim Head Coach for this season.

Not really. There is solid talent there for the first time in years, and Woolley and the rest of the coaching staff have been groomed for this from the beginning. this coupled with a solid staff at Woodland, and the Taylor Mill Eagle youth program, and Scott has a bright future.

Coach Campbell always had an administrative position in his future. He was very close to losing his teaching position due to declining enrollment, so he almost had to take the step up. He'll still be around to give advice.

Wow good luck to Coach on his new position. Tough blow to Scott football though.

Is that Wooley from Beechwood and Georgetown?

Yes. He's been the assistant head coach/OC since Campbell took over. He'll be just fine in the position.

If he is half as good as a coach as he was as a player, Scott will be fine. He was the best defensive player on Beechwood's 97 team, but never got the credit that Holderman got.

No doubt. I really thought Scott would only get better with him there.

Honestly Campbell has brought little to no succes to Scott and I don't think the next guy can do alot worse.

I believe that the next 2 years will be the best years in Scott High history, They played allot of young kids last year. They have a good schedule and in a class that they can compete in. I think they will win a playoff game.

Is there a new rule that states that if you are in administration you can't be a coach? Wasn't Spritzky at Dixie an Asst. Principal?

Maybe it has something to do with being the administrator at the middle school, and not the high school?

It's a Kenton County policy. I believe it was adopted by their new Superintendent. Makes sense, but I'm not a big fan of the rule. Best of luck to Dan and his staff. I hear Coach Campbell will still be on staff as an assistant. Any truth to this?

Very possible. The new super in KC has changed a lot of things in her short time there. My understanding of the Administrator & Coaching rule is that, you can not be a Principal/asst. principal and be a head coach in a primary sport (football, basketball, baseball, softball etc.) However those currently in those roles will be aloud to stay in those roles. Being that Coach Campbell is taking a new administrative position, he can not be Head Coach.
