May 1, 201214 yr After four years of living in Louisville, it's looking like this is going to be the year I finally make it. I'm pretty excited. I've lived in KY my whole life and this is the first year I am going. It will be an infield experience for a bachelor party and I'm not anticipating seeing much racing.

May 1, 201214 yr Union Rags will win the KY Derby on Saturday. Agreed as long as he doesn't draw inside. I just keep coming back to him. Trying to find some live longshots to wheel under him as I think the other top favorites finish out of the money.

May 4, 201214 yr I would be shocked if Hansen won the Derby. I don't see him getting the 1 1/4 at all. IF the Hansen camp were smart, which with the exception of the trainer, they are not, they would skip the Derby and point to the Preakness. Unfortunately, it's all a big party to Dr. Hansen and his crowd. Hansen was never supposed to run in the Bluegrass. He was being pointed to the Wood Memorial, but Maker was over-ruled so that Hansen could have a corontation party at Keeneland in the Bluegrass. How did that work out??? Hansen is a nice horse, but if he can get 1 1/4 miles on the dirt carrying 126 pounds, he will have to sprout wings to do it. I personally expect Hansen to finish closer to the bottom of the pack than the top, and the charade will be over. Too bad!!!

May 4, 201214 yr I'm going with Union Rags, Hansen (repeat of the BC Juvenile exacta), Creative Cause, and I'll have Another in the Derby for a 4 horse exacta box. Oaks/Derby double wheel with those 4 and Summer Applause in the Oaks. She's a live long shot @ 15-1 in the Oaks.
