April 21, 201214 yr I hit my first par today. Was actually a few inches from being my first birdy but it was my first par instead. I played last week and today and that was my first time playing in about 14 years(age 13). I'm pretty sure I'm hooked, golf is FUN.:banana:
April 21, 201214 yr I would love to get into golf. Any suggestions on where to buy some golf clubs? Not sure if you're anywhere close to Lexington but there's a liquidation sale tomorrow I think at the convention center.

It is a great game and has its ups and downs. Enjoy! FYI not a big fan of the Lex convention golf sale. More of a bad flea market. Try used clubs till you find out what you like.
April 21, 201214 yr Author Where and what hole? Easiest course in Kenton County and whole 10. It really should have been a birdy I'm kind ticked about that but for just starting and for having drank a few I was pretty pleased. HB there are a couple golf stores in Florence, Play it again, The Golf Exchange and maybe one place at the corner of 18. You're not too far away you'll have to let me know if you want to go next time.

Ya we played Kenton County the past two Fridays, I hadn't played since I was in middle school and am really enjoying just getting out there and playing.

Good luck getting yours! Agreed I really just need to get to the range over the next few weeks and just get used to swinging naturally and consistently. Need to work on that muscle memory.
April 24, 201214 yr Congrats Sportsfan, just keep with it. Golf is a beautiful game, but its also a game that can get you pretty worked up if you really stress about it. Main thing is to always enjoy being out on the course no matter how good/bad you are playing. I've been playing for almost 12 years now (started around the age of 12) and only really got pretty decent at it 4 or 5 years ago. Made it out for the first time of the year last week and I can already tell I'm hit with the bug. Going to try to play a few times a week from now until it gets too cold. Love it.
