My bad. Forgot about that first pool play lose. Must have been nice for the crons to have that hour break before playing the bombers that had just played a game 5 minutes earlier though. Congrats to the crons regardless. Both teams played hard.

There were only 4 that signed up originally to play D1 and 2 of them were from Northern Kentucky. As it turned out, the Rockets decided not to play apparently, but the NKY Legends did play.

How did Campbell County's Holbrook look?

Heard he looked good! The team has a lot of nice players. Won pool play going undefeated, then lost in gold medal division.

Crons 16 went 3-1 on the weekend, lost 2nd game on Sunday.

Went to Nike Elite Invitational in Hampton three weekends ago. Beverly sprained ankle in first game. We went 2 - 1 in pool play, losing close one to DC Assault who went on to lose in championship of gold bracket by 2 (to NJ FACES). That loss knocked us down to silver bracket. We lost in championship of silver bracket by 5 to CP3 All Stars (Chris Paul's program). Play in Under Armour Jam Fest in Pittsburgh this weekend. Team looks good.

A few Kentucky teams are playing in 2 big time spring tournaments this weekend. Louisville Magic 16U and 17U will be playing in the Adidas VIP Exclusive Run tournament in Las Vegas. Hoop Dreams 16U and 14U will be playing in the Pittsburgh Jamfest.

KY Elite 17U and Spiece Gators 17U will be in the Nike Chicago Hoopfest.

Kentucky Elite Kings 14U and 15U will be playing in the King James Southern Exposure tournament in North Augusta, South Carolina.

No real reason for the back-to-back play other than that's the way it was scheduled.

Unfortunately it not unusual for AAU games to go back-to-back.

That is what makes the 17Crons, they have enough depth to help with fatigue, foul trouble, etc.

http://www.chicagohoops.com is the website for this tournament. Spiece Gators lost in Championship last weekend in Florence to the Cincy Knights. They are supposed to be ranked 10th. They are a young team that is really good. Several young D-1 recruits getting serious looks from Big 10 schools. Anyone else seen them play or know about thier players.
