Sandman-

No real reason for the back-to-back play other than that's the way it was scheduled.

Unfortunately it not unusual for AAU games to go back-to-back.

That is what makes the 17Crons, they have enough depth to help with fatigue, foul trouble, etc.

Appreciate you response, but in my experience AAU games are never scheduled back-to-back. That's why I asked the question in the first place. Seems like poor scheduling to me. Not that I care, but when I saw that posted it caught my attention.

Who plays for the Gators? Who has been playing well for them?

Next two weekends are evaluation weekends for NCAA coaches. Biggest tourneys with most coaches are in Minneapolis (nike EYBL) and Vegas. Any Ky teams in these tourneys?

Louisville Magic 16s and 17s are in the Adidas Vegas event. No KY teams in the Nike event, although Jack Whitman of LexCath, Justin Johnson of Sheldon Clark and Miles Rice of Trinity are on the Tennessee Travelers that are in the Nike field.

Hoop Group Jam Fest in Pittsburgh is stacked and will be full of coaches as well...

Eddie Ford is this weekend in Louisville this weekend. Teams from several states will be there. Shocked to see they charge coaches $150.00 to watch (courtside seats).

That's cheap! You should see what they charge in the summer per coach, and add more $$$ if they want the team rosters, or extented profiles.

These NCAA certified events are cash cows and the people running them aren't going to miss a trick. Eddie Ford is at the head of the pack when it comes to finding ways to milk another buck out of an event. But, they all do it.

Whatever they charge colleges coaches to attend and for a tournament booklet is still going to be far cheaper to the schools than if they tried to fly around and see all these different kids in their hometowns.

Trick is getting NCAA certification, and then garnering a reputation that the tournament will consistently bring in DI quality players. Once you do that, you're golden (and the gouging can begin).

Sat beside Crean and Izzo last night. Izzo is a very nice guy.

Very interesting. Makes sense on expenses and cash cow. I know the teams get charged a lot too. If it is a well attended tourney by coaches and players than everyone is happy.

Which tourney?
Chicago Hoopfest.
Chicago Hoopfest.

Don't forget to check out the Reds while in town! Keep us posted on who looks good!
