AAU This Weekend

Thanks. Those kids have played with a few different teams over the years, most recently the NKY Celtics. What happened to the rest of the kids on that team? Does anyone know if the NKY Legends have been playing any this spring in 14 and under?[/QUO

Most of these kids have played AAU together for several years. They have been called the Wolfpack most of the time. One

year they went by Legends and few of them have played with the Celtics from time to time. IDK about the rest of the Celtics.

adidas May Classic – more recaps

Posted on May 14, 2012 by Jody Demling

Omar-Prewitt0512-225x300.jpgA few more nuggets from the adidas May Classic:

• Before beating the the Louisville Magic in the championship game of the 17s gold bracket in the adidas May Classic, the Eric Gordon All-Stars downed The Ville in the semifinals. Montgomery County’s Omar Prewitt (photo) and Trinity’s Darryl Hicks both had more than 20 points for The Ville, which lost by eight. The Ville won two pool-play games and won three straight tournament games, including a win in the quarterfinals over Martin’s Wolverines before the loss. Prewitt and Hicks had big weekends for The Ville, while Madison Central’s Dominique Hawkins and Quan Taylor also had several solid games. North Oldham’s David Levitch just keeps on hitting big-time shots from outside.

• Christian Academy’s Logan Wade hit seven three-pointers and had 25 points but the Louisville Storm lost in the quarterfinals of the Silver Division in the 17s. The Storm was missing several players because of prom.

• The Hoop Dreams-Price, led by Apollo sophomore Hunter Shelton, won the Silver Division in the 16-year-old bracket.

• Indiana Elite-Team Indiana, led by East Chicago Central freshman Hyron Edwards, won the 15s Gold Division title. Edwards made a visit to IU on Friday.
