Agreed. One of the few HS running backs that delivers the hit instead of taking the hit, Alot to be said about that mentality.

The Birds are loaded at the running back position, probably one of the deepest I have ever seen, and I have seen a few in my day.

Coaches talk about their star RB being fast, or bullish, or quick, elusive, etc, etc.

Dale has a RB for all of those labels and more.

Probably 3 or 4 legit HS starters/stars on any other team who will take their turn, set aside personal accolades or accomplishments and do what they have been asked to help Highlands win.:thumb:

 

I would think Hayes and Seidl will make the fastest kickoff return tandem that Highlands has had in a long time, if not the fastest ever.

Respectfully, I will have to agree with the above posts. I think Lottoman and company have a good grasp on what is happening with the Birds. One thing that I would like to add about Hayes , he has "juke" moves that Barry Sanders and Walter Payton would be proud of.

I don't think anybody is getting "too carried away" the Birds have tons of talent.

I can also remember Dale being concerned about the RB Harris being "too physical" at spring practice. Dale was going to adjust the practices to keep his D injury free and healthy. WOW!

Always agree with this statement. However, this yrs Highlands team will probably be the most "evenly talented, deepest at skilled position, no one or two superstar teams in recent memory".

IMO, this will be one of those teams that when you watch them play you will walk away from the game saying, they are nothing special or they dont impress me but yet you ponder to yourself how did it get out of hand so quickly.

This will be a very impressive well balanced team imo.

Message boards are kind of funny in their own way. They are like reading the Bible or the Daily racing form at the local racetrack. Everybody reads the same thing, then everyone walks away with a little different meaning.( I have read both, but,I'm a little better at the ponies.)

I was replying to ABC2's post about the team 2 years ago (Class of 2011), which did not win the freshman championship, and was characterized on this board as mediocre. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Is Nick True going to be a junior or a senior? He attended a UK Showcase with two NKY 2014 kids on Sunday so I'm guessing he will be a junior.

What showcase is that? I would expect Nick to be recruited by colleges as a lineman. He has the frame to put on 30-40 lbs easy. Not sure what position he will play the rest of his HS career though. Could be a Tate Nichols type situation.
