Connor Poston Sr LB will be in the mix as well, he is benching 315lbs I hear and squatting over 400lbs. He got alot of snaps at LB last year in Varsity games.

 

Depth and experience at the DB position looks to be an issue. Abner being just a soph and Bardo (DNP last year) although both have nice pedigrees. IMO there are a few kids who could go both ways and still be very effective.

 

2 a days & scrimmage next week should sort out roles on defense. A lot of talent across the board on both sides.

I knew I'd forget someone, but I doubt anyone goes both ways...

DB's will be fine they have Murray, Heck, & Streeter returning + these guys are getting reps against a very good WR corps everyday in practice.

Has the Enquirer's Northern Kentucky prep football preview been released yet? I have been trying to locate it online but have not been able to find it.

 

Will Highlands be audio-webcasting the Trinity scrimmage this Friday evening?

 

Does anyone have a copy of the Highlands 2012 football roster? If someone has this, I would very much appreciate it if he/she could email it to me (just PM me to let me know).

IMO, NT Devin Bruns, followed by his brother Drake and DB Carter New, who had a nose for the ball. Devin had an impact on almost every play on defense.

Good points, but I believe Seth Hope will pu where Devin left off on Defense as of all the kids at HHS he is probably the next D1 player, probably a LBer.

Carter will be missed greatly but his shoes will be filled, maybe his biggest contribution last yr was his kicking duties which nobody thought anyone could fill Adam Weinel shoes but Carter came through nicely.

The Drakes shoes will not be filled this yr anyhow. He was a 3 yr starter that looked and played like a Sr when he was a Soph. He will be missed.

 

Birds will be fine as always, nobody ever thought we would ever have a QB better than Lorenzen or Guidughli and we got to see Towles add his name to the list.

 

As Dale always says, "this yrs team stands on the shoulders of the teams before them" This process has been taking place now for 75 yrs with 21 Really Great Yrs and this yr will be no different. :thumb:

I was getting tired of UK#1 and his endless predictions about a mediocre program. BGP was getting to be like a scandal sheet with tabloid reports and sightings. Some of us our working with just hatched baby birds in the FTJFL and wanted to hear from the mother ship. PM reports if you must but I miss the love from the birds nest.

Why is there so much angst about SK not scheduling Highlands? I don't recall anybody in our district playing Highlands at all, except of coarse Ryle. Ryle was fortunate to schedule Highlands in a year where they had arguably their best team ever. Only about once every 10 years is one of the 6A schools going to have the depth and skill players to even compete , let alone beat Highlands.
