Agreed. He is a good RB in a seemingly crowded backfield. He could easily score 10 or more.

I have to think if he does not get the starting job he will be JV QB, but also look for him to start at another position for varsity games as well. He is just to good to watch from the sidelines as strictly the back up QB.

Urlage is now a defensive back. McCoy is the starting quarterback. Houliston is the back-up quarterback. Hoge will play some quarterback but has been moved to wide receiver (slot back).

Who are the lineman that will be blocking for all these skill players?

 

Who is playing linebacker this year? That is the position that had the most departures from last years squad. Who plays the other corner position opposite Murray? Will Seth Hope being playing a down lineman or will he be standing up and moving around? Look for big things from him this year.

 

What about special teams? Long snapper graduated as did the punter and place-kicker. Who will be returning kicks and punts this year?

 

Lots of questions that I am sure will be answered in the next few weeks as the pads are now on and it is time to get down to business.

I am guessing Heck or Streeter will play the other corner position. How is the defense looking this year, have only been to see a few practices.

I thought that Streeter was a safety and that he and Blake Schutte would be getting the early nod as the starters.

Bardo looks very good as a defensive back. So does sophomore Andrew Abner. Schutte will start. Streeter will play a lot but is coming back from a severe knee injury suffered on the last play of the state championship last year. Murray will also start. Heck looks good and will play. Seth Hope is playing on the defensive line and will be outstanding. Thomas Wrobleski could emerge as a great linebacker this season. Punt returns and kickoff returns will be a strength of the team.

LB - Wrobleski, Paolucci & with Bardo & Abner looking good in the defensive backfield You may see Schutte, Cochran, or Kruse at LB, but thing change almost daily as guys start rising to the top as pads change things

Sounds like there's pretty good depth at almost every position. If that's the case, then the Birds should do well this year.

Connor Poston Sr LB will be in the mix as well, he is benching 315lbs I hear and squatting over 400lbs. He got alot of snaps at LB last year in Varsity games.

 

Depth and experience at the DB position looks to be an issue. Abner being just a soph and Bardo (DNP last year) although both have nice pedigrees. IMO there are a few kids who could go both ways and still be very effective.
