Win or lose Monday night, Kentucky will have beaten every team they've played this season. Lost to Indiana & Vanderbilt, but beat them both too. Beat Kansas in November.

 

Last time UK accomplished that was 1996. Two losses that year were to Massachusetts & Mississippi State, but beat both teams too.

Ummm exactly what it says. I quoted someone that said they think Coach Cal gets his first title on Monday. I said that would be sweet if it happens because Coach Cal's last loss in a title game came to Bill Self and Kansas..... I'm confused as to where the translation is being lost?

I'm torn, I feel like UK is a lot better than Kansas and could win by 12-15. At the same time I think we all know that Kansas is A LOT tougher than they were in November. This Kansas team has a lot of heart and gritt.

EVERYTHING in this tournament has broken right for Kentucky. Syracuse got neutralized before it began and then UNC got neutralized midway through. Ohio State loses to Kansas. Basically any time there was a team that I thought could pose a challenge to Kentucky they get taken out. Kansas does not have the horses for this game. No way.

 

Best post I've seen in the thread. I wasn't all that worried about the Cuse, to begin with. But, Carolina could match the Cats in talent, if healthy. Michigan St. scared me in a final four game, but catching Louisville in the semis instead, didn't exactly do them any favors. OSU winning tonight would have meant a better title game, but Kansas won.

 

Kansas does too many stupid things to give them a chance to win in this one. Can't play as poorly as they do most nights at times and recover against Kentucky. Maybe they'll play well for 40 minutes Monday, and if they do, they're good enough to have a shot. But, after 40 odd games, I doubt you suddenly stop being lazy or stupid at times.

 

Same could be said about OSU down the stretch tonight though. How many times can you send a 6'1 kid to the rim off a pick and roll only to have his shot blocked while falling down before going to plan B? Thomas also really hurt the Bucks in this one, see last offensive set. Selfish players will always kill you eventually.

 

This Kentucky team, is really, really good and scary talented. They are also very unselfish. Rare commidity these days, and it'll win them the title Monday.

I hate Kansas. I still hold a grudge when they beat UK 150-95 back in Pitinos first year. I would love to break their hearts by beating them in the title game.

I think it will be good to see Cal's least heralded PG and probably most ridiculed in Teague get him his first Championship!
