I didn't see anything that made me feel like it was 5-8 tonight. Trinity plays aggressive defense and with out of region refs foul counts can end up lopsided quickly.

 

Wel I know I have green colored glasses but there was definately a disparity in the way fouls were called. I had neutrals around me who agreed and even a couple of BE fans who said "we got the calls and still lost" in disgust.

Good crowd from Trinity (I will take away credit for the one Rocks fan who kept screaming "Intentional Foul" every foul. Looking to great crowd on Friday.

 

Was not impressed with Willis of BE - but will we willing to give him the benifit of the doubt for his senior season.

I feel you. I was just saying I never felt most of the calls were bad calls. Trinity's lead may be part of the reason to be honest. I love the way Trinity plays defense. After seeing Trinity tonight I know I missed a tremendous game when they played Ballard. Scoring against Trinity when they are after it like that on defense is something teams should be grateful about. I was also very impressed with Quick. I am going to make a point to see that kid play football in person next year. I really like this Trinity team. A lot. I could gush on them all night. :lol:

One team from KY has beaten Trinity this year and it was by 1 pt. I am going with the Shamrocks.

 

I think they will have a tough game vs GRC but they have depth and that is what you need in this tournament.

There doesn't appear to be any talent of that level left in the tourney with the possible exception of the Rowan Co kid and Scott county players. It just appears that T has some very good talent and the rest of the state is down this year. They will need to play well but they certainly have the significant edge on paper at this point.

Trinity went "toe to toe" with some of the best high school teams in the country at the City of Plams tourney in Florida in December. Whether they win state or not, there is no need to say a potential state championship is due to the talent "being down" in Kentucky. The fact is this is the best roster (1-10) that Szabo has had in his time at Trinity.

This sounds much like the football sandbagging.

I wouldn't go handing off the trophy just yet. You've got to remember they have a murder draw, where an off game will promptly get them bounced. Clark Co. will be no pushover, and a grizzled Rowan team could be awfully tough by Saturday morning.

Don't know where you all are coming from. You will never hear a T supporter say or think that way. We respect all opponents and nothing taken for granted. It has to be earned - and we have always projected that. So lighten up.
