CincySportsFan
After two years in the NFL with the Titans, former Colerain coach Kerry Coombs is headed back to Columbus to be the co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach with the Buckeyes. Former Ohio State assistant Kerry Coombs returning to Buckeyes as defensive coordinator - CBSSports.com His initial stint with the program included three years in which his secondary finished in the top two in the Big Ten in interceptions. The Buckeyes defense notched 25 interceptions in 2015 -- tied for second-most nationally behind three teams with 26. OSU has been churning out NFL cornerbacks for the past several years, so you hope that continues with Coombs return. As to his role/ability to step in for Jeff Hafley as co-defensive coordinator...I'll leave that up to @John Anthony.

Deep ties in Ohio for recruiting and now he has that flashy NFL resume that recruits love. He’s now the highest paid OSU assistant ever.
