Open Job: Wolfe County

Recommended Posts

The Wolfe County job was posted to the KHSAA site on Monday.

Wolfe County's superintendent sent head coach Chad Vanderhoof a letter of non-renewal in the interest of the high school finding a coach who will be a fulltime school employee. Vanderhoof was hired in January to help the school start a new football program at the school. They competed on the JV and freshman levels this season, and the freshman team earned the school their first ever football win in October, beating Jackson County 10-6.

It sounds like a lot of the Wolfe County football parents are fired up over the move by the school district.

Did they not know the guy was not a full time school employee when they hired him? I know nothing of the situation but it makes me think there has to be more to it.

They knew he wasn’t full time, and that he lived in Raceland and was driving back and forth. I’ve been told by several people that the AD doesn’t want football and isn’t going to let the program get up and running.
