Final.

Russell was too much tonight for an improving East Carter program. Much sharper from the get-go tonight than two weeks ago. The Devils were again too strong up front, rushing for 300+. Conley had 172 yards and 2 TDs, Anderson with 100 yards and 4 scores. Russell punted on its first possession, but scored on its next six. And the defense looked much better than the first time these two met. East had two first downs and 70 yards of offense tonight.

On to Putnam for what should be a classic.

I'm sure this is a miserable end for those East Carter seniors, but they've set a new standard for the younger kids to strive for. They've left Raider football in much better shape than they found it. I look forward to seeing where Champlin takes this program from here.

East Carter should have a pretty good team next year. They had a good JV team.
