Region 1 Winner: Trinity vs. Region 2 Winner: Male

This game started out all Male, jumping out to a 13-0 lead before Trinity came storming back. Trinity would put up 20 unanswered points to take the lead into halftime, 20-13, The momentum seemed to be on Trinity's side in the third quarter, but Male would get a break as Trinity had a bad snap that was recovered by Male. Male wasted no time scoring, going to the air to tie the game at 20-20. These teams would trade punts and turnovers on the next few possessions.

Male quarterback Garrett Dennis put his team on his back with his tough running ability halfway in the 4th quarter to put up the go ahead score to give them the lead, 27-20. The Male defense would force a punt from Trinity. Trinity was then forced to get a stop on defense to get the ball back. But once again Garrett Dennis was key for the Bulldogs, carrying the ball several times and eventually getting a key 1st down on a 3rd and 3, ending the game with Male heading to the state championship.

Garrett Dennis carried the ball 31 times for 150 yards and 1 touchdown. He also completed 16/25 passes for 252 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Region 3 Winner: Madison Central vs. Region 4 Winner: Scott County

This was the first meeting of the season between these two teams and the game wasn’t as competitive as the other state semifinal. The Scott County Cardinals jumped up early and often, never looking back and winning 40-6.

This would be a very balanced day for Scott County. They are usually a run heavy/dominate offense. This week they had almost as many yards through the air as they did on the ground They had 195 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Bronson Brown accounted for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Cade McKee was 4/5 in the game for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns. Glen Covington had 80 yards on 2 catches and 1 touchdown. He also scored a touchdown on an interception with a 75 yard return.

Madison Central didn’t have much to brag about in this one as they where just out-manned. But on a high note, senior quarterback Derrick Miller scored a touchdown in his last game as a Indian.
