4 Quarters
Campbell County won a 5 quarter contest. Score reset at half. Campbell won first half 38-22. Won next two quarters 41-20. So much for the Lloyd newcomers.
NBN0211
Were the newcomers supposed to make them unbeatable? I would say most teams in N KY will have a tough time beating Campbell County. They ended their season last year 29-6 and have a solid team.
Big Fundamental
Woww. I knew CC would be good, but I thought Lloyd got several nice transfers... not enough? Or, CC better than thought?
NBN0211
Probably a little of both. CC has a strong starting 5 with the Jolly kid, they play a very fast game with good fundamentals. Lloyd transfers are good but with only 2 returning seniors they are a young team.
Big Fundamental
Does CC have any depth? Or, will they mainly rely on the starters?
Woodland
The game was closer than appeared. Lloyd seemed to have a sub schedule set coming into the game. Campbell played a more of the starters longer and made big runs. Plus Darrien Jackson played very little. I think starter against starter Campbell would have won but not a blowout as it was in scrimmage. It looks like Lloyd will play 7 kids 3 of which is sophomores that will grow immensely by years end. Plus Campbell Co is a damn good team no shame in falling to them.
VernonMaxwell86
How come Campbell doesn't ever play in the big or prestigious events/tournaments?
4 Quarters
How come Campbell doesn't ever play in the big or prestigious events/tournaments? They do, it's called the Sweet Sixteen at Rupp.
VernonMaxwell86
They do, it's called the Sweet Sixteen at Rupp. Great point. I agree with you that's all that matters, but I was talking along the lines of LexCath tourney, KOB, etc. that gives their student-athletes more exposure? HSBballfan24
Great point. I agree with you that's all that matters, but I was talking along the lines of LexCath tourney, KOB, etc. that gives their student-athletes more exposure? Both of those events are invite only. Which means maybe it isn't Campbell County's choice to play in those events you mentioned. I'm surprised KOB hasn't invited them considering their success but it seems like they go with teams that have Division I players over a successful TEAM. Although, the KOB did go with Spencer County this year so maybe I'm wrong. But, history has shown it to be more the way I described.
