Jo-Jo13
So, with a new coach and a change of position, I was worried about how Jake would adjust to the new "system". Coming in behind everyone else on the team due to playing baseball and missing spring ball, he had a great season. The team improved from the 3-7 mark to go 7-4 in the regular season and finishing tied for 2nd in the district and making the playoffs. The team lost to Highlands in the 1st round but I definitely saw a great improvement in the team play. Jacob was 1st Team All-District in 2016 as a Sophomore at OLB after leading the team in tackles with 79. Coach Fox comes in and decides that he was needed more as a strong safety and made the move. Jake responded to the move be recording 50 tackles, with 10 of those being tackles for loss. He also led the team in Interceptions and tied for 5th in 5A with 5. Also, he was the only player that started both sides of the ball, the only time he was off the field was punt, field goal, kickoff and kick return. He was selected 1st Team All-District in 2017 at the DB position. Super proud of this kid. Not to mention he did all this and also has a 3.79 GPA and already scored a 28 on his ACT as a sophomore. Take some time and watch his season Highlights and please give some constructive criticism and/or praise as you deem fit. Thanks in advance guys.
Sinbad 74
I hope Navy is recruiting this young man. He definitely sounds like the type of young man our military academies are seeking.
