South really starting to come together for Steve Simpson, who won his 331st game at the school tonight.

There's a reason why guys like Glen Drury (Anderson County), Jon Jones (Gallatin County), and Steve Simpson continue to coach - they are great teachers. South is a team with a lot of seniors, but only three players with much experience. Those three played like leaders tonight, and Devin Young, Luke Morrison, and Peyton Hicks all finished with 20+ points and 7-10 rebounds apiece....but the less-experienced players began to look more like a unit tonight.

Always impressed by how Steve is able to mold a team - regardless of the amount of pure talent he has - into a contender, and at 5-1, South is off to a solid start this season.

Devin Young finished with 26 points, including 6 threes.....

Unofficially South Oldham hits 17 threes and Holy Cross hits 10. The first quarter proved to be the difference as the last 3 quarters played pretty much even. Young was on fire in the first half for South.

Holy Cross was not in the bonus in either half.
