Kenny Ball and Conner Kreeger led the Birds at the dish with 3 hits apiece. Jake Whitford had a solo home run for the Birds and 2 RBI. Todd Ramey and Grayson Heck each had 2 hits. Joe Martin started and went 4 2/3 innings for the win. Jake Noe finished it with 2 1/3 innings in relief. Highlands moves to 8-3 on the season. Tate Grainger started for Bellevue and took the loss. Grainger hit a 2 run home run in the first inning to stake Bellevue to an early 3-0 lead. Brady Hayes pitched 2 innings in relief and #10 pitched a scoreless 7th for the Tigers. Qryche11 Posted April 16, 2015 Share Posted April 16, 2015 Looks like the Tigers hung with em until Grainger left the mound. Tough when you are limited on arms unlike the Birds who seem stacked. Highlands starter Joe Martin was bringing some heat in the limited time I was there watching. How hard does Grainger throw? Also curious why he throws from the stretch all the time. I saw KB get a nice RBI hit and Kreeger crush one to the fence for the Birds. Whitford also had a nice poke for a single/RBI behind in the count. Congrats to the Birds.
