Columbus Clipper(Cleveland) At Indianapolis Indians(Pirates)

 

Clippers jump on top, 1-0 on a home run by Michael Martinez in the fifth inning. Martinez played for Indianapolis last season, where he total one home run on the season.

 

Francisco Lindor hits a RBI triple in the 8th to give the Clippers a, 2-0 lead.

 

After the Lindor triple off of

 

Charlie Leesman, who was making only his fifth appearance in his career out of the pen,

 

James Ramsey laced a shot to center to score Lindor and make this a, 3-0 game.

 

 

Ryan Rohlinger gets a sac fly in the ninth to make this a, 4-0 game.

 

Clippers win, 4-0.

San Jose Giants(Giants) at Lancaster JetHawks(Astros)

 

Listen ed to this one last night.

 

The Giants jumped out to a 2-0 lead after four innings of play.

Picking up both RBI was, Ryder Jones a 20 year old 3b.

 

The JetHawks tied things up in the seventh when Chan Moon laid down a sac bunt for an RBI, then Brett Phillips plated a run with a single.

 

The home team and defending California champs scored the winning run on a Danry Vasquez single on a pop up to shortstop Christian Arroyo.

Binghamton Mets 0-1 at Akron RubberDucks (Indians )1-0

 

Game goes to the sixth scoreless when Xorge Carrillois hit by a pitch. He steals 2nd and then scores two batters later when, Jared King ground out to first.

Mets lead, 1-0.

 

Through 6 1/2 the teams have combined for six hits after totaling 27 last night.

Top of one Brandon Allen triples in the games first run to give Las Vegas the early lead.

 

In the bottom of the inning Matt Duffy singles to lock things up, at 1.

 

Fresno would take the lead for good in the bottom of the third by scoring five runs.

Jon Singleton doubles in the first run.

Matt Duffy singles in the 2nd and 3rd run.

Preston Tucker homers, his first to drive in two.

6-1 after three.

 

 

Top of four would see L-Vegas make it, 6-2.

Knocking in the run was Alex Castellanos.

 

Las Vegas makes it 6-3 in the fifth when Eric Campbell knocked in a run, with a single.

 

The bottom of the inning would see Fresno score one run to make the score, 7-3. Knocking in the run was, Nolan Fontana. He went yard.

 

Fresno scores their final run in the bottom of the 8th on a Matt Dominguez sac fly.

 

Las Vegas scores the games final run on a Matt Reynolds sac fly.

Deibinson Romero makes it, 1-0 with a sac fly.

Jaff Decker makes it, 2-0 with his own sac fly.

Iowa(Cubs)1-2 AT Memphis(St. Louis)2-1

 

Adron Chambers knocks in the first run of the game, with his third double of the season in the 2nd inning.

 

Addison Russell blast his first homer of the season, a two-run shot in the third to give the Cubs a, 3-0 lead.

 

Jonathon Mota(1) goes long ball, a solo shot in the fourth.

Cubs up, 4-0 still hitting in the fourth.

 

Cody Stanley with a RBI base hit to put the Redbirds on the board, in the fourth.

Drake Britton comes in to relieve starter Barret Loux and walks pitch hitter Mike O'Neill to force in a run.

 

4-2 After four Cubs lead.

 

Kris Bryant blast his 2nd bomb of the young season, a two-run shot to give the Cubs a, 6-2 lead in the 7th.

 

Bryant picks up another RBI with a sac fly in the ninth, making this a, 7-2 score.

Lynchburg Hillcats(Cleveland) 2-2 at Fredrick Keys(Baltimore)3-1

 

The Keys get three runs in the first.

Drew Dosch reaches on a fielding error by first baseman Nellie Rodriguez. Josh Hart scores to make it, 1-0. Then Trey Mancini triples (1) on a line drive to center fielder Clint Frazier. Jeff Kemp scores. Drew Dosch scores, to make it, 3-0.

 

The Hillcats get three in the fourth to lock things up.

Yhoxian Medina singles on a line drive to left fielder Gregory Lorenzo. Alex Monsalve scores, to make it, 3-1.

Ivan Castillo singles on a line drive to center fielder Josh Hart. James Roberts scores. Yhoxian Medina scores, to lock it up at three.

 

The game would stay locked at three until the bottom of the 16th. That is when Drew Dosch would end the game , with a Sac fly.

Both teams had to use two position players as pitchers and in the end it came back to bite the Hillcats in the rear.

Afternoon Triple-A baseball for me today.

 

Brian Johnson starts game one of the double header for the P-Sox. He is 1-0 on the season.

Throwing for the Blue Jays Triple-A Affiliate is, Jeff Francis. The vet is 0-0 on the season.His career minor league record stands at 38-23, while his big league record is 71-80.

 

Buffalo gets a 2-RBI hit from Ryan Goins (Dallas Baptist) to jump out in front in the second.

 

 

Buffalo takes this one.2-0.

 

P-Sox with 2 hits in the game, while Buffalo ended with 4.

West Michigan (2-4) Detroit at Lake County (Cleveland)3-3

 

Dace Kime, former Louisville Cardinal takes the hill for Lake County. He is 0-1 with a 1.80 ERA this season.

 

West Michigan counters with, Ross Seaton. He is making his first appearance of the year.

 

West Michigan scores the game on a wild pitch. Will Maddox scored the run in the top of the fifth.

 

 

Greg Allen singles on a ground ball to center fielder Austin Schotts. Taylor Murphy scores to lock this one up at one after five.

 

In the top half of the seventh catcher Franklin Navarro plates a run with a base hit, that gives the road team a one run lead, at,2-1.

 

2-1 West Michigan post the win.

Another close game between these two today.

 

Toledo escapes with the,7-5 victory.

 

Getting RBI for Toledo was Daniel Fields(2) Dixon Javier Machado,Tyler Collins, Jefry Marte, Mike Hessman and Jason Krizan all had one.

 

Clippers got RBI from Jesus Alexander Aguilar and Ryan Lee Rohlinger each had 2RBI and one homerun.

Toledo Mud Hens(Detroit)6-4 At Columbus Clipper(Cleveland) 4-5

 

It does not take long for the Mud Hens to jump out in front. In the opening inning Jordan Lennerton singles in Daniel Fields.

 

Carlos Moncrief goes yard, a three-run bomb to give the Clippers the lead after one.

Moncrief has struggled so far this season. Hopefully this bomb, his first will kick start him.

 

Francisco Miguel Lindor, the Tribes #1 prospect hit a solo shot, his first to give the Clippers, a 4-1 lead in the third.

 

 

Daniel Fields goes deep to make this a, 4-2 game. Fields is off to a big start this season. A .364 average with one bomb and three RBI.

 

Jesus Aguilar homers (2) To give the Clippers a, 5-2 lead.

 

Clippers take this one, 5-2.

Lake Elsinore (San Diego) 3-6 at Rancho Cucamonga (Dodgers) 6-3

 

Rancho Cucamonga jumps out early with three runs in the top of the first.

Joey Curletta doubles (7) to plate Devan Ahart. Then it was a Adam Law hit by pitch. Joey Curletta scores. to make it, 2-0. Dillon Moyer out on a sacrifice fly to center fielder Auston Bousfield. Jarek Cunningham scores, making it, 3-0.

Two walks and a hit batter aids in the three runs.

 

Lake Elsinore gets two in the 2nd.

 

River Stevens walks. Nick Schulz scores for the first run.

Then it was a Auston Bousfield walk. Jeremy Baltz scores.

Making it, 3-2.

4 walks in the inning.

 

In the bottom of the 2nd Rancho Cucamonga scored one run, when Brandon Trinkwon singled to drive in Spencer Navin.

 

4-2 after two.

 

Robert Kral homers (1) to make it a, 4-3 game after 2 1/2.

 

Rancho Cucamonga would score nine unanswered runs to post the 13-4 win in this one.

 

They would get one in the on a Dillon Moyer sac fly bunt to go up,5-3.

 

In the they put up three runs.

The first one came on a wild pitch to make this a, 6-3 game.

The next run came on a Jarek Cunningham single,7-3

The final run in the inning came from a Adam Law single, 8-3.

Two wild pitches in the inning was a strong reason why the runs were able to score.

 

Four runs came in, in the seventh.

Joey Curletta singles to plate the first run.

A pass ball allowed the 2nd run too score.

Jarek Cunningham doubles in two.

12-3.

 

The final run came in the eighth on a Brandon Trinkwon single, 13-3.
