My post was in response to you saying 6A is bad and I merely stated the fact that 5A is wayyy down compared to 6A this year! Your one sided opinion doesn't change this fact!

Conner finally put together both a good offensive and defensive performance! Senior DE Will Hardin put on a clinic,4 or 5 deflected passes, 3 or 4 hurries to the QB,and fumble recovery for a TD! The special teams on kickoff coverage looked a little suspect, but all in all a solid win!

Actually, record wise 6A NKY has a better overall winning record than 5A:confused: With the exception of Highlands 5A is way down this year! Inconsistent would be a more appropiate statement! The top two leading rushers in NKY come from 6A, and the leading passer :sssh:

I hope Quanioo is OK, say what you will about Boone's defense, but without Quanioo your chances of a decisive win from here on out have just been shattered!:eek:

I also thought their wasn't enough use of Elliot or Nichols! How can you not take advantage of a 6'7" TE! this young man should be touching the ball 8 to 10 times a game, IMO! :confused:

Just got back from Dayton, Conner wins 39 to 6. It was 36 to nothing at the half and with the exception of special teams, 80 to 90% JV played in the second half. However, Conner may taken a blow to senior Alex Shank who went out with a knee injury! Hopefully 2 weeks off will fix several key players that are still not 100%. Correction, I just got news that Shank may have a blown ACL ! :scared:

Actually that BOTCHED kick would have just tied the game. As devastating as it was, a first and goal turn over and another turn over on NCC 30 yard line was much bigger than the kicking miscue. Not to mention Mark Kelly running for 200 + yards, not to take anything way from Mark Kelly and his great blocking there was some poor tackling on Conner's part as well.

I 'm not sure Coop, but I think that I read Fern Creek is ranked in the top ten this year in their respective class, I think it's 4A?

IMO Clyde seems to have a grasp on the game of football, his opinions are objective and I have read his posts concerning other teams and games, keep up the good work Clyde! as far as the Conner vs Campbell game is concerned Clyde was simply stating the facts. No way should Conner have lost this game. A Cougar team that started out the season so strong and only because of poor execution let the Boone Co. game slip away goes to Campbell, a team that has been struggling so far this year, only to regress in many aspects into the bad team we witnessed a year ago! Don't be so thin skinned, rather enjoy and learn from a person who clearly understands what it takes to win football games!

Great win for Ryle, Conner and SK better take a gut check!

Absolutely horrible tackling and way to many penalties have been the norm for this Conner team! A horrible use of some fine offensive weapons also seems to be the norm! There seems to be no real leader on this team! Coach Trosper has his work cut out trying to get the Cougars refocused! Get back to basics and fundamentals, especially tackling!!! Oh yeah and I have an idea lets bring back the POWER I occasionally, like on short yardage and GOAL LINE! DUH!

Way too many missed opportunities for Conner! If they fix their Red Zone offense this team would be real good! Need to bounce back next week at Cambell Co. Go Cougars!

A game of this caliber should be played on a neutral field! IMO

Samad and Scuttleworth could be very effective for Conner next season!

Much more coaching experience will win this game. NCC by two touchdowns, no way they aren't prepared this week after what happened against CCH!

Conner wins 33-7, looked much more efficient defensively. Conner's defense must stop giving up so many third down conversions! All in all the new offense is moving the ball much better, and already doubled their average points per game in consecutive weeks!

Nobody said they would be ninth region champs, only that they can play with Ryle ALL DAY LONG!

You clearly haven't witnessed 90 m.p.h., because Roenker is no where near that mark. I watched him struggle to throw 80-82 m.p.h. all summer long,without a doubt greatly do to the fact he clearly has some issues going on with arm strength. You would be lucky to find 5 pitchers in the whole state that throws 90 m.p.h.

With the exception of THE GREAT GAME, I find it hilarious the lack of respect Ryle fans and Northern Ky. in general give Conner credit, when credit is do! Here's a team that didn't even go .500, was beaten handley by Conner, who by the way also returns 7 starters and also beat Cov Cath, but dosen't even mention the Cougars in his top 5! Please!!!! I can't wait to watch the Cougars beat Ryle in football and complete the sweep! GO COUGARS!!!!

Conner was held to only 4 hits on a complete game by St. Henry's starter! Conner led 2 to 1 going into the 5th, and proceeded to commit 4 errors and give up 5 runs! Schuttleworth goes 6 1/3 and gives up 4 earned runs. Good luck to the Crusaders, they out played Conner today, hands down!

Both teams throw four pitchers, Scott out hit the Cougars 8 to 3. A couple of questionable calls by the field ump cost the Cougars 2 runs, but all and all Scott got the hits when they needed them! Not a good end to Conner's regular season! Better hope the bats wake up in the districts!

Conner gives up 4 unearned runs in the first three innings! Then goes up 10 to 7 at the end of five, only to implode defensively! If you put up 10 runs you got to win! Offensive contributors were Thomas 1B, 2BB, 2R, Brake 1B, HR, 2R, Pugh 1B, Grand slam! Defense, Defense, Defense!
